Official: Juventus Negotiating With Ajax For Huntelaar

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has revealed that the club are negotiating a deal to bring Ajax striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar to the club.

The prolific hitman has been in brilliant form this campaign scoring 13 goals in as many matches in the Eredivisie.

Huntelaar has already made it known that he will be leaving Amsterdam at the end of the current season in order to move abroad, and it now seems that his destination will be Turin.

“Yes, we are negotiating a deal for Huntelaar of Ajax,” Cobolli Gigli told the Corriere dello Sport today.

Juventus have long been admirers of Huntelaar, and were linked with a move for him before the outbreak of the Calciopoli crisis in 2006.

They were also set to make a firm bid for him this summer when David Trezeguet threatened to leave the club. However the Frenchman signed a new contract and the idea was scrapped.

Given Huntelaar’s similarity to Trezeguet, it seems likely that Juventus consider the Dutchman as a long-term replacement for the current Serie A top-scorer.

Huntelaar, who has had limited chances in the Dutch national team under Marco Van Basten, will not move to Turin until the summer if negotiations are successful.

He already said he wants to leave after this season. Not a chance he's staying.
As far as that goes, I'm a bit concerned about next season. Johnny is probably gonna leave too, Maarten might. Wiges? Suarez? Maybe Urby too. Edje close to retirement perhaps.
I hope Van Geel will be able to cope with those losses better than he did last summer with Ryan and Wes.

I love those articles. I read the Corriere dello Sport and Cobolli-Gigli said that he was one of the players we were looking at.
I still think he could join us but our management is not that great. We're linked with players like Pasane and Mellberg so...

You could take Afonso Alves to replace The Hunter. I don't think he's a one hit wonder.

Damn police is on a strike this weekend and they picked the games from Ajax - PSV and Feyenoord - AZ to do it (damn bastards)
This could well mean that the game will be canceled :( The decision will be tomorrow but the judge gave the police permission to go on a strike.
Man I hate this, the game I was really looking forward to DAMNNNNNNNNNN
This is the time to beat them, they lost big time against Roda last weekend and against Inter this week in the CL and we had all week to prepare for this game it's not fair!
We want to see football this sunday.

In a statement Ajax says that they feel bad about the judges ruling and they are hoping the game can be played in a good and peacefull way and Ajax will do anything to make sure that it all goes well but without the police there.....not gonna happen I think.

Stay tuned..

Now about players leaving, I'm sure Suarez isn't going anywhere, come on he just joined us! Maarten will stay as well and if I were Ajax I would offer him a new contract and sell him for many millions next year or after two seasons.

Damn, it has just been announced on the official site that the game is cancelled. This really s*cks, cause you're right in saying that if there was any time to beat them it was this weekend.

Think I'm going to the shops and steal something, just to show why the police can't strike FFS. :(

Well the conformation has come by the Ajax board, there will definatly be no Ajax-PSV tomorrow.

That's the first time I actually agree with the man. Damn this really sucks.

I am so f*cking pissed about this you have no idea, damn police I hated their guts but now it's even worse damn bastards :s***::f***:
And the fact that the court approved the strike makes it even more sh*t!
I was so looking forward to it, a team decorated the stadium this morning with Ajax/war colors :(
The only positive thing is that when the game eventually will be played, Edje will be back, Leonardo and v.d. Wiel will be fit again but that's the only positive thing this weekend the rest sucks!

I couldn't believe my eyes just now when I read the following:

The game needs to be played between now and 8 weeks and if the game cannot be played at home then it could well be played at PSV OR we could loose the game according to the KNVB rules with 0-1 :| even without playing the game that really sucks :f***:
The KNVB will do anything to prevent that but if it happens then thank the police for that is what they say.

Unbelievable this

A 0-1 loss would be unacceptable. In every way. Ajax stated often enough that they wanted the match to be played. If there's no other way, the match should be played mid-week imo even though it's a high risk match. Then the police should just have 1 evening less off.

I didn't mind it was cancelled though, have an important exam tomorrow.

Damn I'd be so extremely pissed if that would happen. Jesus Christ I think I agree with Dr. Dre in saying motherf*ck the police, lol. :p

No but seriously, I have every respect for the police and the work they do at football matches but playing it this way is just not the way to do it. If we lose it to the title at the end we have them to blame for it and they can pay us the 5 odd million we lose by not playing the CL. :D

WTF! :f***:
First they let us play on a pitch that's not even worth playing on (a disgrace).
The pitch was slippery and in some places real hard but that's not an excuse because we played like sh*T! Personal mistakes made us lost the game against f*cking EXCELSIOR FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! (N)
I say we sell Colin fast what a terrible defender :( but George was sick so he had to play and thanks to him Excelsior scored within a few minutes. Ajax should be ashamed of themselves after this performance I'm pissed as hell and with me many fans.
Thanks to the loss, psv is first again and Feyenoord is now in 2nd position WTF again this cannot happen!
And i forgot to mention that Excelsior are last in de Eredivisie :|
This thursday we play a homegame against FC Twente another very very hard game but at least we play in Amsterdam.

And about the game against psv that had been cancelled, it's going to played on the 30th of januari and a few days later we play against Feyenoord at home is the KNVB f*cked up crazy or what?? :|

Pfffffff no good weekend for us but Merry X-mas guys and enjoy the holidays at least that's what I'm going to do (or to try at least).

And again we f*cked up against VVV (2-2) Good thing that both our attackers scored again but we really sucked big time. Lost almost every ball and it was really poor. We need new players it's as simple as that.
OK only 3 points behind psv who's first but January is going to be really tough when we face psv, Feyenoord and AZ again. Luckily for us Feyenoord didn't manage to win against Heerenveen today.
So it's winterbreak now, let's hope we come back better and stronger after that.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! :clapwap:

KENNETH PEREZ RETURNS TO AMSTERDAM

Ajax and PSV reached an agreement last night and Kenneth PEREZ will return to Amsterdam immediately!
Yes it's true he's coming back and I couldn't be happier :clapwap::clapwap:
I was really angry when he went to psv but his team is Ajax and will always be Ajax!!
He signed untill 2009 with an option for one year more :D
Welcome back Kenneth and may you score many goals and give lots of assists cause last season it became clear that he and Klaas-Jan played very well with eich other. Let's not forget that he scored 17!! times for us last season and almost everytime as a pinchhitter. It seems he will be starting in the first line-up from now on as replacement for Wesley (otherwise he wouldn't have come back I think)
Next week Ajax will set up a trainingscamp in Dubai and Kenneth will travel with the team. Man I already start laughing cause this month at the end of the month we play against PSV and Kenneth will be wearing our colors again
Heavy calendar tho: 13 jan. AZ (homegame), NEC (away Amstelcup), Vitesse (away), PSV (home) and Feyenoord (home) good that we play in de ArenA a lot.
Maybe Amrabat (who now plays for VVV) will join Ajax as well next week, well he was tought how to play at the Ajaxacademy so he's coming back home if that happens.

All in all not a bad start to the new year now let's hope we will collect prizes and mainly the championship!

More transfernews/rumours: appearantly Heitinga could go to Atletico de Madrid and Khalid Bouhlarouz is about to sign for us from Sevilla.
Let's see how this turns out, Bouhlarouz is a good defender but I don't want to loose Johnny (N) not now at least..

Silencer

Well we can forget about that cause I've read just now that he will remain with Sevilla so that means dat a transfer for Johnny is out of the question as well according to MvG :amika: "non negotianable" he said.

Excellent, we've been waiting for his return, now Gregory and Leo back and with Kenneth in midfield as well hopefully we can become champions! (Y)

Well if any of you Ajax fans followed the friendly, I'll be sportsmanlike and say it was a good game! (H)

I'm mad I missed it though...but from everything I read it seems it was really close! 2-2 and My boys Inter won on penalties 5-4 (H)
