I think all hard alcohol is based on trends, to be honest. like everyone who says Grey Goose is better because it goes down smoother... **** no! tastes like the same **** as all the other vodkas, but it's so much more ballin to be seen holding a bottle of Goose or Skyy than it is a bottle of Smirnoff or Polar Ice.

So true man, beer is the same way though to an extent. Around here a lot of people think they look cool holding a Stella Artois and talk about it like it the greatest sh!t on Earth. Meanwhile it doesn't taste different than any most other cheap beer.. I told this friend of mine that always got it that Stella was basically Europe's version of Labbatt 50, a white trash/wife beater beer and he refused to beleive me..

I disagree about beer, a lot actually do taste different, but true that they are also based around trends. go taste some Laker and then drink a Canadian/Moosehead right after. the Laker will taste like feet in comparison.

k so to stay on track, I got money, a nice dress shirt, a sweater and a pair of jeans. oh and some weights that my friend gave me because he never used them :p

If you can find a monitor with HDMI, yeah. Im sure they exist. I remember reading a review about aone last summer. Cant remember which one.
Great site for monitors; prad.de You can find every techincal detail about almost every monitor there. From Panel model to Interpolation abilities... Has great reviews as well. By far the most informative place there is for monitors.

I was lucky enough to graduate during the holiday season so I got loaded up on account of it AND the holidays. Lots of cash, a few gift certificates and a few DVDs.

Tempted to buy an Xbox 360, but I probably shouldn't...

Here's how much effort my family puts into Christmas, so far I've gotten:

Dad: $75
Grandma and Grandpa: $50 to Boston Store (clearance racks baby!)
Grandma: A tree planted in my name in Canada; $25 to the Olive Garden. (WTF!??!)
Grandpa: Usually I get a $20 check, but he's super poor and I always just tear it up
Aunt #1: $20 gift card to Target
Cousin (drew my name in the lottery):

Except no stripes, and the Eagle is maroon. I'm actually a huge fan of this right now.

Aunt #2: $500. She always goes out because she's a divorced accountant who's son died of cancer, so she has tons of money. I'm the only nephew she has. Basically she doubles everyone else combined. It's insane. Hmmm.... pay the rent, or buy a PS3?

Avalanche

Senior Squad
Toteboard for Christmas Day XXIII:

-Three shirts + hoddie from American Eagle
-Two shirts from A+F
-Three books (2008 ESPN Sports Almanac, 2008 Guinness Book of Records, and THE Sports Book)
-Three games for the PS2 (FIFA 08, Rugby 08, and GTA: VCS)
-A watch that I will probably return (it has a digital face, but I prefer an analog one--its more classy)
-New bedsheets and two new pillows.

I got an AF hoodie, Nautica shirt, polo shirt, 25 dollar gift card to Best Buy, a crappy wallet, and some gift basket with chocolate. Can't complain, although I wanted a PSP.

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long
Yellow Card
Got Bourne Ultimatum(Single DVD) with winter boots and gift card.

Contemplating first BOxing Day SALE purchase(in roughly 10 years) of this(~US$100.00 for ~US$200 savings, if I can get to Best Buy by 6:00 a.m.....highly unlikely with the amount of Triple Sec I drank today but worth dreaming about the possibility for the next 5 hours).

With wireless , ~25' range, light-up touch controls such as volume slider, touchpad, this is the sexiest piece of hardware I have ever laid my eyes on.

Christmas sucked my ass this year..

I got those DVDs I wanted, socks, a book I was interested too, couple other knick-knacks etc, which was great because I never really want or expect much gift-wise.

BUT..

I had to spend the past 2 days with my in-laws who can't cook to save their lives. So I had like the absolute worst Christmas dinner ever, which really sucks because the food alone is probably the thing I look forward to most at holiday time. I would have happily taken a hot-dog over the meal I had..

I also really hate my one sister in law, and it's good that I only see her once a year because otherwise I'd be too tempted to pimp slap the ho!

God. I only can stand about 5 hours around my extended family on either side, so that's what I do. I don't want to imagine having to spend an entire weekend (or worse) hanging out with some potential wife's extended family.

Oh, so I forgot to mention, this year the kiddie table consisted of me (24 years old), my two cousins (20 and 18 year old girls), and my 45 year old uncle. Getting bumped up to a surprisingly sparse main table was my sister (21) and her new husband (22). Did I mention that the uncle who got shunned to the kiddie table also happens to have a December 25th Birthday? Grandma is not too pleased about his divorce, and DRAMA ensued. Although to be honest I don't like the stale boring ass conversation at the main table anyway, which usually consists of me being silent and listening to my Grandpa bitch about the Democrats. The kiddie table we got to talk about one night stands and how my now legal 18 year old cousin in high school needs to hook me up with a friend (H)

I just knew that was coming (H) kiddie tables rule man, the main table always consists of my uncles, dad and brother arguing about US/Iraqi politics, religion, and how the Assyrian empire did/did not invent everything and rules all. I just sit there and laugh at everyone yelling at each other.
