I've had this happen to me before, a really stupid bug by Nokami, really amazing considering past PES games always loaded the save data file first when you ran the game.
Anyway I don't think there's any way of being able to retrieve the old data in the overwritten option file. The file, by the way, is stored in "Konami\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008\save" in your My Documents folder, for example:_
