nah, those graphics aren't next-gen. But much, much better.

I just looked at PS2 screen shots and it looks as if EA have retained the same engine for FIFA 09 as well!The faces look similar to the FIFA 08 ones[Pc screenshot of Marseille player is generic face no:86 with hair style 38 as in FIFA 08]and I believe they will not make it next-gen this year.One of my associates who is in touch with EA tells me that it will be a slight improvement of FIFA 08.It will be better than EURO 2008 though but I think the engine will be old gen...

I did not mean to say they will make PS2 next gen but what I meant to say was that they will continue with the same engine for PC as long as they make FIFA for PS2 as well.

I dont think so . Just look at the screens for PC, and at these for PS2. There's a big difference .

Totally agree. A really difference.

well, we've seen the graphical improvements for the PC version, what about more gameplay details? is it just plain ol' FIFA 08 or with minor AI tweaks?
Either way I'd rather just get it on console but it wouldn't be as much fun as on the PC with the patches and stuff............

It will be similar to 08.
