Do you guys think that this Wilshere kid is better off in our reserve squad or maybe being loaned out to a second division club would suit em better?


It would be most beneficial for his game if he got a loan spell to a lower end European club in Spain or Italy, me thinks....that's what we need to start doing with our highly touted youngsters, man....send them overseas to accelerate their growth and widen their soccer scope and have one of our scouts keep tabs on their progress.

Question...is Theo Walcott a regular starter? if not why not? the kid has been amazing every time I have watched him play

hmm....I would hope so. I mean, I dont wanna see Ebola virus on the right wing consistently this year. I realize that it's only the preseason, but I feel that this kid has made great progress in his awareness level from the looks of it. He's using his phenomenal pace more intelligently and making more perceptive runs up the flanks and into the middle so far....these are all good signs.

I think Diaby has lots of potential to play DM very well, but he's still got a lot of learning to do. I was pretty pissed when he injured Sneijder, it sucks to get seriously hurt in a meaningless game.

Once Van Persie and Walcott score their first goals we could be getting 4 or 5 per game.

Saw the game today. We didn't play bad at all considering most of the starters played the day before. Losing 1-0 to you guys from a penalty isn't so bad for being half dead on the field. Now we lost Sneijder for 6 months by the looks of it! thanks!

Diaby needs to start releasing the ball earlier and his tackling is average at best. Eboue should be used as a back up for Sagna and that's it. I'm not sure how Denilson would go playing with Cesc he seems to be playing a very similar game to Cesc at the moment although Id prefer him starting next to Cesc at this stage. Our starting 11 for the first premier league fixture should look like this. Although im not sure when Toure will be back also Djourou could be easily interchanged with Senderos.

Are you guys really that comfortable with Denilson playing the Dm role alongside Cesc? I just don't see it. He's gotta sacrifice his own offensive game and be selfless if he's gonna play along side Cesc. He's gotta be covering for him and others aswell and be constantly running all over the pitch to impede the opposition's attack and just be an all around destructive force....I don't feel that he's got that makeup atm to take up that role, man.

You get a sense of dread and doom whenever you see guys like Essien out there on the pitch. They have got such an overwhelmingly intimidating and daunting presence, you know? But when I see a kid like denilson out there masquerading as a DM, all I wanna do is get out my extra large tube of vaseline and start whackin away...he sure is purrrdy.....he would make for some exquisitely delicious meat in prison for guys like Essien, man.


Seriously, though, The kid is immensely talented. His touch, awareness and ability to be tactically incisive enough to always be on the right footing and positioning is admirable, but he's just not enough of a physical force imo.


If you could put his head on a guy like Diaby's body, then you'd have yourself not only the perfect, Dm, but also the perfect midfielder period, man.

I hear Arsenal is still chasing Veloso, though...

why not chase Moutinho instead? I know it sounds weird coming from a Chelsea fan but Moutinho's a better option and he'll cost slightly more expensive, but then again Veloso's not going to be cheap either.....

I just said what I read lol, Moutinho is so ahead of Veloso is not even funny; though if Arsenal do buy Miguel, I'm sure Wenger will pull a very good player out of him.

Either way, it's two different positions, and for Moutinho's position Arsenal are already quite well served...

Oh sorry, I assumed Veloso was a CM considering the media have been saying Arsenal were after him to replace Flamini.

I've been saying that a CB should be our top priority, but after watching our last few games I can understand why Wenger appears to be in the market for a DM. I have such torn feelings on Xabi Alsnso. I could see him being GREAT in our team with his vision and long distance shot, but it could also really backfire when Gallas and Toure are left alone without a shield in front of them. I have a feeling Wenger might just go for him because the quality of his passing is so good and Wenger values that very highly in a player. I guess we'll see once this Barry deal actually happens.
It's a shame Song is away because he may well be just what we need.
