i heard a rumour that mourinhos secret winning formula is an energy drink he gives to players before the game..
he asks all players to stand in a group ..like they r taking a group photo
then he looks at opera's pics and shags and releases his sperm and sprays it over everyoneeeee
reports say he can squirt around 3-4 litres!!!
OMG

Are u trying to annoy everyone here with unintelligible posts?

You're making Utd fans look bad.

well, this Lecce squad is not like the one Zeman managed, is it? They played one of the most appallingly negative forms of soccer that ive ever witnessed....boy, was it gross to watch!

random thoughts..

-weren't we suppose to be resting a good chunk of the starters for the derby?

we were just terrible in the first half....we dominated possession greatly, but we weren't all that convincing in our attacking....no creative spark at all, and our passing was really poor

-mancini probably had one of the worst performances of his career....from his lack of energy, concentration and creativity, to his godawful crossing...he must've taken about 5-6 crosses and botched every single one of them worse than he had previously.....don't we have other setpiece takers?

-Zanetti was probably our best player overall.....the dude was just all over the place disrupting whatever Lecce had to offer and contributing to the attack quite a bit aswell....I got choked up a little as he was being recognized before the start of the game for his 600th appearance....you could tell that he was trying his damnest to hold back the tears too, man....good sh!t!

-Maicon was very vital to our second half resurgence...the dude livened up our attack quite a bit and made good use of the trident

-what a badass move by Jose in the second half to insert two more attackers into the fray for a total of 5....I've gotta commend that decision, man

^ ye, quite a few players weren't playing "true to form" ...

Zlatan made a few good moves, and was instrumental nodding down Maicon's cross for Cruz to power home; but he was also careless in possession a few times ...

Adriano wasn't great compared to his strong performances in the two previous matches ...

Cristi still seems to lack match practice, as he was uncharacteristically off the pace on a couple of occasions ...

Deki's early ambitions of being played in the holding role are quickly dissipating; if the central defenders are not all injured at once, it will Cambiasso and Sulley-Ali combining with Pupi Zanetti in the middle of the park ...

tactically, I agree that the Inter team were set up quite well ... the laboured 1-0 victory suggests however that there is either some early tiredness (due to the pile-up of games) or just a lack of concentration ... could be a combination of both, too ...

and that is not good to see since this past midweek match was probably the one that Mourinho could afford to rest players ... an "in form" Milan is waiting to prove themselves in the derby, after which Werder Bremen -- the biggest threat to Inter for top spot in the Champions League Group B, and the recent destroyers of Bavaria (ask Bayern fans) -- visit the San Siro ... anything less than a win in either of those matches, and the knives will be out ...

Yeah. I totally forgot about Stanko....he was that nonexistent! The dude needs to be taken behind the proverbial wooden shed in order to bring his career to a merciful end, man.

slight question of offside on the Milan goal ... and I suppose it has to be said that the marking was bad when Ronnie got ahead of the likes of Matrix and rose highest to head the ball into the top corner ... not that bad a defensive display otherwise ... Julio Cesar hasn't been overworked, but had to produce a monster save early to keep the score down ...

not a very impressive first half from Inter, but not overly disappointing ... they've basically failed to find penetration up front ... Zlatan's stinging drive has been the most Abbiati has had to handle ... Mancini and Quaresma have been closed down ... Quaresma is not able to deal with the sheer physicality of Rino Gattuso and co. ... meanwhile, the centre backs and mids swarm Zlatan when the ball is anywhere near him ... he's having to drop back deeper in order to collect the ball and try set something in motion himself ...

Mourinho will likely make an adjustment soon after the restart ... I'd be interested to see if he has the guts to switch to a 3-4-3 or a 3-4-1-2 if the score is the same at the hour mark ... Cristi may be sacrificed for another attacking option ... won't be surprised to see Adriano or Cruz or both some time in the match ...

Couldn't watch the match but I read that besides the offside goal there was an aggression on Adriano inside the area. Is this true? Does anyone have a link with the highlights?

as I said in the Milan team thread:

not too much [Inter] [could] do when [they]'re playing 11 v 14, and later 10 v 14 ...

all the close calls (on offsides, fouls/cards, etc.) were going against Inter, while it was the exact opposite case for Milan ...

Kaka' was offside (by inches, true, but still off) in the build-up to the goal ... Adriano was clearly elbowed in the face as he tried to rise for a header while in the box; the foul clearly and illegally impeded him from reaching / being able to play the ball, and so was a clear penalty (in my eyes) ... Burdisso's first yellow was not deserved, and it is debatable whether his second challenge would have warranted a card (let alone a second yellow) ... those were three huge decisions that changed the match ...

apart from that, Quaresma was carded for what was actually a superb ball-winning tackle ... in fact, the only Inter player that really deserved to be carded was Deki's ludicrous challenge on Kaka' ...

I am sure there will be a huge overcritical overreaction of Inter following this result ... but I'd rather JM and co. get hardened with adverse officiating and results early in the season rather than later, or in crucial matches in latter stages in the Champions League (as was the case last season) ...

Yes, it's true. But i don't have any highlights...

Ronaldinho's goal was scored from an offside, so it shouldn't be counted... the referee didn't give us an obvious penalty either, as someone said before...
Anyway, for me this match means nothing, 'cause Serie A just have started, and anyone can be the champion. Will see.

Ok Ok Ok.... I just want to see them in the next CL match in order to see them react... I prefer that our players feel that they'll have opponents this season to make them focused on on both Calcio and CL...

The next match against AC Milan we should be able to say if we'll win another title!!!!

Yeah, Kaka was ridiculously offside on that long range pass from Ronnie, but what pissed me off more about that whole event is that we had more than enough time to reorganize as a defence and deal with that short cross to ronnie. Our defence laid off Kaka and let him survey the box for what seemed like an eternity, so that he could deliver that pinpoint accurate pass....WTF?

In the end, Milan were just the superior team overall, man. Their attack was more fluid and threatening for the better part of the game and they did a helluva lot better job of silencing our offensive players. I can't for the life of me figure out why Jose chose to start Quaresma in such an important game and also stubbornly keep him in for the entire match when clearly he was having a horrendous outing and was being a detriment to our attack? The kid is just not on the same wavelength as the rest of the squad, man. Also, Heroic Zlatan's body language towards him is really an ugly thing to watch. He seems to blowup everytime he makes a mistake....not supportive at all, man.

Also, regarding the sending off...we really shouldnt feel too hard done by, man. They were both card worthy imo. Burdisso can be a terribly foolish and foul-prone defender and both of these incidents could've been avoided if he'd exercised more restraint and used better technique in those open field tackles.

The two standouts for me were Cambi and Viera....especially in the first half, when they were very lively and in command in the middle. Some of the anticipatory reads and recovery tackles that they made were works of art, man.

class finish from Maicon ... he's been in red-hot form in recent weeks ... no surprise to see him on the scoreboard ...

meanwhile, Zlatan and Adriano are linking up really well ... and as much as I hate to say it, Balotelli is working a lot harder than Quaresma has done in the past couple of matches ...

The Von Trapps
weird sort of game, that ... when Zlatan found Adriano for that audacious overhead in the opening seconds of the match, I thought we'd be in for a real show ... and, to be honest, the game could have been buried in that first half ... Maicon's goal -- and it was a superb chip into the back of the net -- instead of propelling Inter into cruise control, only seemed to instigate Bremen into action ... Julio Cesar, as usual, kept Inter in the lead ... but when Balotelli released Stanković with a great ball over the top, I thought it had to be 2-0 and game over; and had Deki pulled the ball back for Zlatan to put into an unguarded net, that certainly would have been the case ... then Zlatan's mazy dribble where he schooled three or four defenders before being illegally halted deserved more -- it deserved a freekick at least, but the ref wasn't forthcoming ...

before the match started, though, I expected Bremen to sneak a surprise in this one ... having seen Bremen's exploits in the week leading up to this, I actually included Mesut Özil in my fantasy football team -- that's how in-form a few of their players were ... and Inter's loss to Milan affected the team more mentally than it did the league standing ...

Diego, Özil, and ex-Ajaced Rosenberg all looked lively up front ... when they finally broke through, Pizarro somehow bungled a golden chance to equalize in the first half ... that should have been the wake-up call to the Inter defence to firm up ... but with Burdisso in the mix, I guess that was always going to be asking for a bit much ... it was no surprise when they got their goal soon after the break; and no surprise that Özil was the architect ... and late in the game, Pizarro (again) managed to miss an absolute sitter that should have sealed a famous win ...

Maicon was at fault for allowing Pizarro to get in behind him at the far post for the equalizer, but the beastman almost made up for it with a superb effort -- a few centimetres of accuracy separated him from a contender for goal of Matchday 2 ... there were a few other "oh so close moments" -- Zlatan's trivela cross just eluding Cruz was agony ... it's not been a great few days for JM & Co. ...

but, like i said after the Milan game, this is the best time to learn from mistakes ... last season, Zlatan was unstoppable at the begninning of the season -- there was just no defending against the guy ... Inter were cruising ... but when the second half of the season came, Zlatan's knee injury cropped up, the team were getting the worse of 50-50 breaks (which, when compounded, can be seriously compromising), and the season "capitulated" to a last-gasp Serie A retention ...

it'd be far better -- and I think most would agree -- if the first half of the season sees you work out your best combinations, grind out results when you need to, but keep yourself in contention on all fronts; the second is when you should see the team hit stride, and the stars in red-hot form ... JM knows this all too well, so no need to fret ... the flashes of brilliance are evident ... it will come together, and all will be well, I have no doubts ...

In this short time Mourinho has been at Inter, what do you Interistas think of his work so far?

Are there any major changes to your football, has a particular aspect of your game been improved noticeably etc? Basically, do you think you're going up or down?

Xifio, appreciate the excellent writeup, bro. I only got to see the extended highlights of the game, so it's always good to see/hear the views and analysis of fellow fans who actually got to watch the entire match.

Anyway. A consistent theme so far has been the inconsistency of our defence. I don't know if that's due to our personnel just not being good enough or them trying to adjust and alter their habits to the requests of the new coach, but we've really gotta become more stable and firm back there ass soon as possible, man!

Burdisso and Matrix are disasters waiting to happen, in my opinion ... they will inevitably screw up and/or get a card ... Córdoba is getting on in age ... this past summer should have been a good time to invest in a long term defensive plan ... Samuel hasn't been seen in ages, though he makes the bench for today's game ...

on that note, there's a Colombian central pairing at the heart of defence for the Bologna match ... let's see how Rivas does ... also, JM has done away with 4-3-3, and instead gone with a 4-4-2, or 4-2-4, depending on how you look at it ... and with Maicon and Zanetti as wing-backs, this is a very attacking formation ... the team need to respond with a solid, not necessarily emphatic, showing at home to put a disappointing previous 7 days behind them ...
