Maradona new coach of Argentina

Does a new coach needs to have some sort of a license or something ? I heard they all must go and take an exam or something and pass it before they can actually become a manager ? Is this true ??

As far as Mara, I'm happy for him. Aside from his bad past, and his mistakes he can actually do something positive again for the Argentinian football community. I'd love him to succeed. Also, Messi can learn a lot from him, except gaining weight, and doing the white devil

Is Maradona sane now? Is that why he's getting the job?

he's already a coach, he was on Racing Club on the 90's after he retired and in another club (now extinct)
he didn't do good and he resign, but well.. i hope he can do smth with the players he want and not with a limited roster

to tell you the truth, i don't care who the coach is, who the manager is, who the hell plays... i just want to see argentina win the wc again (i was 6 months old the last time in Mexico)

Slohand, Diego was suspended (WC 94) when he coached Racing and Mandiyu, after that he played one more year in Boca and then he retired...

We won't qualify to the WC or we'll win it.

bielsa was supposed to be the best and (if you ask me) that was the best argentinian team in years but we didn't pass the first round...

He is coach of their beach soccer team. Who knows, he might move up the ranks. So be careful what you wish for.

Oh, I still remember him at the beach football Euro here in Tarragona last year...

Bad move from Argentina....Sergio Batista had the players' vote. Maybe more importantly he had Messi's vote. Maradona is the wrong choice. HOWEVER, he is......Maradona, and that's the reason why he got it.

I'm sure Diego will get plenty of help from the people working with him.

It's madness really this appointment. The equivilent would be Gazza taking over as England boss. With this move the Argentinian FA have given their reputation a huge knock.

The only thing I can think is they wanted to appoint him so he can fail and then the albatross that is Maradona won't be around their necks to appoint again.

Ruggeri and Brindisi are rumored to be Diego's assistant, only one...

I don't like Ruggeri...Brindisi seems more centered.

Isn't Diego having problems with Grondona because they don't agree on who should be his assistant. I guess GORDOna doesn't like Oscar Ruggeri so it's still kind of in the air cause you never really know with Maradona.

If Diego wants Ruggeri, it will be Ruggeri...but i would like someone like Brindisi...
