Running is for cardio only same with jumping rope. but jumping rope helps agility also cuase ur movin ur legs faser and faster.

ballet doesnt help upper body strength much aand gym is miuch more effective. if you do ballet for anything for footy it should be for BALANCE and lower body strength (tiny bit).

the key things to train for off the pitch (dont mean footy drills and****)
1. cardio - jogging/running/treadmill/bike thing/eliptical etc. obviously for stamina. (u do this while trainin with also but still do awa from pitch)
2. balance - not your main traning thing but helps big time. ballet is a good thing for balance or basically anything that focuses on keeping your balance.
3. Strength - rather obvious going to he gym the key parts to train for are your legs and lower back abs shoulders and som on you arms. doing this will help u stay on your feet alot better combined with balance training ad also helps u be able to keep the ball longer like tevez and berbatov.
4. mentailty - stuff like yoga(i think) and other thiings that help improve mentailty will help you stay focused/concentrated on the match and not other things and thus help you perform better. This not really required but helps.
5. lifestyle/what you eat - self explanitory. eat healthy take your vitains/protein to kee your body healthy.
for improving your passing shooting heading tricks etc obviously you do drills and stuff.

hope this helps

I would never take advice about this from you.

I would imagine boxing could be a good way.

Also, one of my friends has recommended shadow boxing to me - with small weights. It's really afficient.

I never do anything for my legs in the gym cos I reckon playing football is enough.
Gym helps a lot, I started 2 years ago and I really feel the difference.
Also like I said, swimming helps a lot, too.
You train pretty much everything with different techniques.
I'm thinking of Carlos*ing in gym and just going swimming atm.

When you are getting pushed off the ball, it's not just about upper body strength. It's also about your leg strength.

Yes, your upper body can help to withstand those roughnecks, but whats the use if your legs aren't strong enough to support them. My advice would be hit the gym, thrice a week. One session for your shoulder, one for your back and one for your leg. Helps with the chicks as well.

As a soccer player, your core is your most precious body region. It's your balance, the power of your shot, etc.

The best exercise for your core is Squats.

Upper body is important as well, when you're fighting for the aerial ball and such.

yah pretty pathetic how people use grammar as an insult. Usually these people are stupid and can't think of a proper insult.

I know the proper term is you're (you are) I used your cause it sounds the same and it's less letters to typeout and everyone will still be able to understand what i mean.

Just like people use U instead of you WTF instead of what the **** etc. Stop being a grammar Nazi and if you want to insult me try using a proper insult.

This isn't english class or some resume or something where your grammar/spelling matters so chill out.

You took that seriously? Sad, truly sad...

Still, knowing some grammar can help you when you try to talk on a forum. Not that you could be helped by anything.

I know grammar perfectly fine. Everyone understood EXACTLY what i said and meant.

Like I said. Using words that sound the same but shorter or alternate slang words makes your comment shorter with still getting the point across.

That's because most people on this forum including you are 12 year old little **** who think they know something about football. When in reality don't know ****. I laughed so hard when you said Beckham wasn't a playmaker.
