I think Rafa had the CL in mind, solely, since the beginning of the season. And if he manages to win the CL, then, really, no Pool fan can complain. I much rather have a CL trophy than a league one. Then again, after 30 league titles, it would obviously take a back seat to the CL.

we should have bought a decent replacement for him. There was no way we wouldn't accept the money Spurs threw at us for a player who wasn't going to play were Torres fit for the rest of the season.

That game against Borough...you guys missed a couple of sitters. Made all the difference. It could have at least been tied. IMO, Kuyt is not good enough to be relied on. He is a wingman striker. But not one that can carry the goal duties on his shoulders. WTF? You beat us and lose to Borough. Thats football I guess.

Babel doesnt get any playing time, you can't hit great form coming off the bench.

And oh by the way, we scored both goals while playing with a 4-4-2 formation.

Bennayoun had a great game but missed a header and Riera put on his Arsenal boots, waited for the perfect shot and missed. We could easily have had 4. Ngog shouldn't have been taken off....we lost our zip after he was substituted and we went back to a 4-4-1-1 formation with Gerrard and Kuyt upfront....which almost never works for getting goals.

did you see keane performance tonight, he scored once and assisted twice, I'm happy he wasn't in carling final and he is not liverpool player anymore.

I really wait for our meeting, it would be fantastic game but lets finish real and Inter before that!!!

Berlin is at the top of German league with lots of voronian goals, he scored hat trick today. Keane scored as well. You face lack of good strikers and you sold very good players, strange !!!!

I wonder why benitez didn't think that he need a good striker while torres is not fully fit this session.

Last year Voronin was rubbish! There was no way that Benitez, or anyone else, could have known that he would be scoring goals this season. He did not fit in our system and Benitez was not going to change his system to allow Voronin to play effectively. There was nothing strange about us letting Voronin go. If you ask me, we shouldn't have bought him in the first place....we could have spent that money and gone after someone else.

We have a backup striker for Torres...his name is David Ngog. He is not as good as Torres, but he is the backup. Plus, we've also got Dirk Kuyt who can play in that position...he too is not a direct replacement, but he is another option. There's even Ryan Babel if Benitez chooses to bring him off the bench.

ok man relax, Rafa himself was too angry about strikers effort last week. I think you should just give them enough time to prove theirselves. I think Keane was not that bad, Berba is just playing better in our side.

I think you still have great talents like babel but you don't give them enough time. Look at us, I think wellback played more than babel this year.

I somehow see a 0-0. I don't know, 8 men behind the ball in the box? I can grab 8 friends from my team and throw them in the box and nothings getting through. Its a matter of measurement, math. This wont be an open game by any means. Expect us to have the ball alot and pass it among the midfied, back to defenders, waiting for gaps, while Liverpool set camp behind the ball.

But honestly, I couldnt blame you for playing like that. Advancing is all that will matter.
