I agree with you Ramos has the potential to be the best RB in the world and he should thrive under Pellegrini, but siging a world class CB right now is gonna cost much more than signing a good RB or even a LB....I agree we REEEEALLLY need a LB but a RB is another area we could use help with....

LB? I have seen Ramos play LB and hell no to that. And we can't compare Ramos of Spain to Madrid, different midfield with our giving the ball away far too easily. Hopefully with Lass and another CM (I'm hoping Xabi) that can be corrected but regarless right now we have 3 CBs, if we sign a RB we take care of two positions that need upgrades with just 1 player and that is Maicon. We also need a LB, I would take Capedilva in a heartbeat even with his age and see how Marcelo develops.

Ramos is a great RB, ****ty CD IMO, you'd be ruining 3-5 years of his career if you'd buy Maicon, Ramos will rot in the CB position, he has far better technique and vision than defending, he's 60-70% and attacking player, while you need a steady CD alongside Pepe if you will even let him play after what he did

Benitez doesn't even play Mascherano half of the time. He might as well just be hoarding him just to have him rot on the bench.

Sergio Ramos is one of the best RIGHT backs in the world. He is NOT an option at left back, or CENTER defender. We NEED another Central defender and another Left Back.

As for Ibra, i've already said I'd love to have him, I think a new challenge, a new league would give him more motivation to be the best. I think having Kaka and C.Ronaldo behind him would also be good for him.

Hopefully we can get Xabi Alonso, if not then we have a few good options in Gago and Lass, but I am more concerned with our Defence.

So, looks like we are going to sign Raul Albiol for 15 million euros..not sure how I feel about that, I wanted us to get a proper RB instead and palce Ramos in CB with Pepe.

Essien would be an idiot if he left Chelsea. But then again, Chelsea deserves to fail this season and the years to come. I'm sure Tom Henning Øvrebø got a little something from Barca after they won the Champions League.

Because their are several reports saying that he is considering leaving Chelsea for either Barcelona or Real Madrid. He is leaning more towards Real Madrid at the moment.

And if they do land Essien, that would pretty much solidify the midfield because he is a physical freak in the central. The guy was born to play that spot.

He may not be as creative as Xabi Alonso or Winston Bograde but Essien is a better defender than those two will ever be.
