Whatever happened to Freddy Adu

Ah yes, but it's not surprising even in FM it's according to "Andrades Newspaper" aka "O Jogo". We're already used to their ****. The game is definitely realistic, the BS remains identical.

lol a sportinguista friend of mine uses it a lot, but I guess it's an habit.

It's not that bad of a term, it isn't insulting.

Honestly i think adu needs to come back to MLS for a year or two. No one over there will give him playing time consistently, and that's something that he desperately needs. He's not as good as he thinks he is, so all his time is spent sitting on the benfica bench thinking man... i'm better then these scrubs and they are wasting this talent with me on the bench.

chilling on the bench in europe doesn't make you a better player.

Because MLS motivates talented players? I've never seen a true talent actually work to get better in the MLS. Donovan is the only exception and even he has been on cruise control for years.

bench never makes players bigger .. i just think maybe he can move a lower reputation team that he can be a starter and come back stronger and upgraded (H)

Starting XI
I think Adu has some problems with the board. On his first year he played like two complete games combined, if that many, and still managed to score like 5 goals... For example, he showed more than Di Maria or Fábio Coentrão together. I'm not questioning the value of these two players, just saying that this situation isn't normal, at least they are not showing all the details.

I honestly believe he should have a chance, he could be a decent sub for Aimar, or at least a third option.
