Given and Almunia, this could be one fact if Arsenal fails qualifying to CL and City places over 4th. Wow sh*tty play by Adebayor. That made Van Persie to hit the post :S and this actually needs suspension.

Anyway, Arsenal's crop from this match could be the 'Great comeback' by Rosicky.

I haven't been able to watch an Arsenal game this season, but I know Wenger didn't brought anybody after the Vermaelen deal, is Arsenal really that strapped for cash? let's not kid ourselves you been needing a real DM for ages now.

And the great Arsenal falls again. This happens every season and I don't know why I'm surprised. One loss means ****, obviously, but you had 10 shots on goal didn't you? Before you didn't shoot on goal, now you don't slot them in.

Also, 4 goals conceded from 6 shots for a Top 4 team is ridiculous. Don't you have any wonderkid GK?

Problem is his rise has been slowed down because of some arm injury he got...but he's made the first team this season...and his name is something like Szczznny,no vowels :((H).
I don't think we have really fallen...Chelsea have been impressive (result wise) but they have struggled against Stoke and Hull. We did not struggle against United and should have destroyed City earlier...
It's funny in a month ago people/the press have gone from writing us off to calling us title contenders to writing us off again.

Ade b*tching

Who gives a **** Rosicky is back :bob:

but will be injured in less than a month:(.

If Eduardo's banned for his dive, Adebayor must be banned for his stamp. I know it's not the same governing bodies, but Adebayor's behavior on the pitch today throughout was just disgraceful. What a ******* prick

Fined maybe/possible/certainly but NO WAY they're banning him for an extended period of time. Maybe a game or 2, but not more....

If the ref wasn't blind, he would have seen this and sent him off. 3 matches for that alone is what he should get, maybe a few more for not even showing remorse, and being a total scumbag. Yes perhaps he was not happy about his time at the end of his Arsenal tenure, but you are a high paid athlete and should at least be professional about it. His actions after his goal were not sportsmanlike either, and Hughes should consider benching him for the United Clash next week, although that seems unlikely with no Robinho and likely no Tevez for that match already.

Haha, you were close.(H) Wojtek Szczęsny is a wondergoalie, just needs a chance to prove it.

I hope they take a long time to decide on his suspension. Long enough to ALLOW him to play at ManU.........

If he's out for that game, United will tear a toothless Man City to shreds....

Some are saying City should deal with Adebayor internally, but that won't stop the FA from suspending him as well. Gary F*ckface Neville got 2 games for a celebration against Liverpool back in 2006, so Ade's celebration won't help him when the FA are reviewing the stamp. I can see him getting 2 or 3 for both incidents.

Adebayor should've been sent off... That Van Persie incident was definitely intentional. He should've got a yellow for stomping Van Persie and one more for his disgraceful celebration.

Thats the trouble with Arsenal fans, they love to dish it out but they can't take it back.

The way the Arsenal crowd reacted to Adebayor needs to be looked into as well. Ripping up seats and throwing missiles onto the pitch, one of which knocked a steward out cold, is no way for supporters to behave, however much they cry "provocation".

Those animals had childishly already worked themselves into a frenzy long before Ade scored his goal, and when I heard some of the filth being aimed at Adebayor from those so called fans, it did not surprise me at all when the player ran down the pitch to stick it back to them. Like I say, it's alright to dish it out but you have to be man enough to take it back when it comes at you.

What about Van Perie's reaction after he scored his equalising goal. Ignoring his team mates climbing all over him, he made his way off the pitch to stand in front of the City fans, and in a frenzy of uncontrolled hate, repeatedly abused the home fans and swore at them. Why was he not booked for leaving the field? Why is his behaviour not being looked at as well as Adebayor's?

And Arsenal fans I ask you this. Why the fu<k would any player with ambitions to win something before he retires, want to remain at a club who have no ambition? Who want's to play for a club who have won nothing in four years, and look as if they have no chance on Earth of winning anything in the forseeable future?

Sure Adebayor is an ignorant fickle twat, but is he any more of an ignorant fickle twat than the majority of gooners seem to be? I've never known a club's supporters who treat their ex-players with so much disdain and hate than Arsenal do. One moment they are kissing a players arse, and the next moment they want him hung drawn and quatered. It is pathetic you know.

I don't like Gallas ( as a person), because of his snide behaviour while he was forcing himself a move to Highbury, ( I bet he's sorry now), but he will never be given a hard time by Chelsea fans. We appreciate still, how he performed for us when he was a loyal Chelsea player. We simply tend to ignore him.

We certainly would not work ourselves up into a rabid rage, as the Arsenal fans at Eastlands did. Adebayor's behaviour is not the only thing that needs looking at regarding this match.

Gooners won't like it of course, but I feel that it needed to be said, and no-one else here seems to be saying it. (Y)

It's not like Chelsea have been kissing William Gallas' ass each time we play them. And not all former Arsenal players receive hostile receptions Vieira , Anelka (suprising given the nature of his departure), Pires even spoke again recently about the awesome reception he received and should Henry come top the Grove he will get a standing ovation. Players like Cole and Ade left the club in the worse manner.

Pretty strong reaction from them...but you must remember than Adebayor has spent a great amount of time berating the same fans that once loved him. Even the day before he was talking about how City fans are 'real' fans while Arsenal fans come from Jamaica and the US and are therefore not true 'fans'.
Adebayor did himself no favours, in 2008 after he had a great season and Milan and Barça rumours appeared he started saying all sorts of sh*t like "pay me like Henry"(:icon_spin:) and Milan is like getting it in with Beyoncé (what !?!)(2009). Most of last season he was the least committed player. His main complaint has been "Arsenal fans treated me badly". Bendtner and Eboué received the same stick as he did last season but no moaning from them just harder work. Sp*rs had that foul song about his father...yet he never went on their fans...and if it's the fans he had the problem with and not his 'brothers' at Arsenal...then why go in on RVP?

Drogba perhaps but Bosingwa no mate.

I was there that night and I have never been so utterly deflated in all of my life. Anger and more anger was all I felt, and I was pretty vocal and abusive towards the referee. If Drog felt even half as angry as I did, then he had the reason to behave as he did. It wasn't right, but it was understandable.

Some Chelsea spectators(I won't call them fans), threw missiles onto the pitch, aiming for the ref I guess. They felt cheated and were angry but that doesn't excuse what they did. You simply cannot allow yourself to lose the plot completely, whatever side of the white line you may be.

All clubs have players who leave under a cloud somewhere along the line, usually after giving it the big I AM, but personally speaking once a player leaves Chelsea, he ceases to interest me much as a player any longer. I certainly would not allow a fool (although a rich one) like Ade to get under my skin so much. Like I said, at Chelsea we simply ignore Gallas. He does not play for Chelsea so he's nobody. :D

Unfair but...

I agree that Eboue and Bendtner have done things the right way, and it will hopefully be easier for them now, as their confidence grows, but as I said Ade is a twat, and a twat always behaves like a twat. You just can't allow someone like that to drive you into a frenzy, the likes of which I witnessed from a small section of the Arsenal away fans at Eastlands. Be angry and verbally slaughter the bloke for all I care, but to throw stuff on the pitch (apart from the stale pies), just takes it a little to far for me.(Y)

I agree that Eduardo should not be suspended. He did dive and I think we all know it, but it would be unfair for him to be the first to be punished by this little known law.

Now everyone is clear about that law by the way, I would hope that certain players who do that sorta thing, will perhaps think twice about doing it in the future. It's something our game really does not need.

How the hell do you pronounce that?!

Disgraceful? that celebration was in no way "disgraceful" Arsenal fans got what they deserved and im happy Adebayor dd that celebration Karma's a bitch

stupid arsenal fans started hating and slurring racial chants and hating on adebayor so he left (also money).

You are basically saying a Teams fans booing chanting racial slurs and hating their owns clubs player who has been their best player by far and gets this undeserved hate is ok yet adebayor returning the favor is all so bad? thats being totally hypocritical.

Arsenal Fans said **** yo to adebayor and adebayor said **** you back he has full right to respond to the disgraceful fans by scoring on his former team and shoving it in their faces. Why should Adebayor get banned and fans/arsenal not getting punished for fans behavior more harshly. and so what he ran to teh arsenal fans and celebrated right infront of them. Absolutly nothing bad about it. He responded to teh treatment arsenal fans gave him in the best way he could by scorign a goal and celebrating it infront of them. He didn't really taunt them or anything.

Also this is total bull**** Eduardo's Dive magically gets turned around.

now if Adebayor gets charged this will be total bull****. Arsenal has a clear dive ban reversed and a call for them will get a ban.

and if Adebayor gets banned Clichy should get a ban for taking a swipe at Adebayor.
