Something rare to see in football...We did okay, I thought Welbeck and Obertan were our best players, Foster looked suspect with his distribution, but pulled off a stunning save. Gary Neville was sent off for following through with his studs up.
The United away support was amazing. A new version of the Carlos Tevez song was being sung, but I didn't catch the words. Also the Possibon chant has been adopted for Obertan already!

Alex Ferguson has had another problem with a ref - and this time he is definitely in the right! On Tuesday, the Manchester United chief admitted Chris Foy was correct to show Gary Neville a red card in the Carling Cup win at Barnsley. But it has also emerged the Merseyside official dropped a clanger in booking Brazilian full-back Fabio da Silva instead of his twin brother Rafael. The United duo were both involved in an 83rd-minute challenge on Barnsley's Jamal Campbell-Ryce. And Foy brandished the yellow card at Fabio, when it was his brother who committed the offence. United have now contacted the FA to point out the case of mistaken identity, saving Fabio - sent off in the third-round win over Wolves - from another caution.

2-0 against Blackburn. We should have scored much more in this game though. The lads tried a lot and managed to score 2 goals. Satisfactory result in the end although it could have been more. I am starting to love Valencia now. He kept running and fighting for the ball. A real hardworker. Berbatov played quite well, unlucky not to score more than 1. He dominated the chances. And what a goal btw, Berbatov showing his class! Thats a typical Berbatov goal, excellent control and superb strike. Wish he does that more often this season.
And btw, joke of the day: Liverpool
I am expecting Fergie to rest players in midweek against CSKA for the game against Chelsea. He said that 10 points are enough for qualification, which might mean he will probably give the youngsters the chance to play. Maybe a team similar to the one which played against Barnsley. I hope Fletcher is back against Chelsea. He's very crucial for games like these. I would be dissapointed to lose against chelsea especially after the Liverpool disappointment. Chelsea are in damn good form right now... A rest for the CL game would be good for the lads.
EDIT: Btw why is Tosic seldomly played? Did we spend 8 million for nothing? I mean for eg yesterday I believe Tosic should've been given the nod ahead of Obertan. Tosic needs more playing time. He's an international player and might be there in South Africa. Obertan lacks a lot of experience and maturity as we could see yesterday... Obertan should play for the reserves for the time being. From yesterday's display it was clear that he's not ready for first team action.

The one thing that stood out for me was Berbatov. He's been annoying me a little lately with flapping his arms around appearing to have a paddy. I thought that all left with ronaldo.
Yesterday though soon as he scored there seemed to be a instant relief. He must be trying very hard to perform and getting frustrated when not scoring. He's looking very classy. Yesterdays goal was sublime, cant wait for him to be banging more of them in. Was as good as that goal the other day he struck off the volley. He's even celebrating in fashion now
Chelsea are playing exceptionally good. We really need to win that game vs them to try knock there form off. If we dont I fear it will be there year. There beating everyone 3-4 goals almost every game.
Obertan looked very good at times, but he missed some howlers. Hopefully that was just nerves, looking good so far. Can only improve.

Should have scored more than we did, Berba's finish was undisputed class though. You could see his relief in the way he celebrated. I think the fans are taking to him now. Obertan overcame early nerves, and barring the miss he played well. Brown and Evans were good at the back, Anderson dictated the midfield and overall we did better than we have been.
I think Tosic has had a dip in fitness, but I'm sure he'll get a chance again soon.

Sorry but Sir. Alex needs to make a signing for a ST or a Scoring CAM. You are trying to replace 20+ goals of Ronaldo and Tevez with Valencia, Obertan, Owen. Need a goal scorer in the midfield.
