I have to say it has been disappointing so far, I was expecting it to be electric, but so far all I hear is buzzing and nothing more.

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
almost had a tied game.

Have to give it to ESPN.. you can here the commentators and the buzzing in the background... Unlike the spanish channel, all you hear is the buzzing drowning out the commentators.

Well, because of that, some people watching the match with me are going to sleep and just woke up as Marquez scored the equalizer. :P

There should have been a penalty for S.Africa in the 2nd half when it was 1-0. The forward was clear on goal and got pulled down.

what a shame that South couldn't pull off the win ... terrific finish from Tshabalala to make it 1-0 ... quite a few chances to make it 2-0, before pathetic defending from Mokoena played all the Mexicans onside for their equalizer -- I bet if it was a locally-based player, and not a Prem-based defender, the commentators would have been talking a lot of bullsh*t about how such players lack big-match exposure ... and it was tragic to see Mphela hit the upright instead of sending the crowd into late ecstasy ...

the second half was much better than the first half, especially after the goal settled the South Africans down, and gave them a boost of much-needed confidence ... Mexico were wholly unimpressive against the lowest ranked team in the competition ... they failed to show any real quality, and were very lucky to escape with a point ...

Mexico will be disappointed of themsevles. They should've played so much better, and won, but the crowd was a major factor for South Africa. Man of the Match: Giovanni Dos Santos or Khune! He pulled off some amazing saves.

Have to confess that the match was a damp squib for me. Utterly disappointed. Expected the atmosphere to be electric, but all I heard were the Vuvuzelas.

Mexico would feel bad at the result of this match. Second half was much better for me than the first half. lol at Blanco.

Lucky to get a point there. Mexico made the forwards look like Usain Bolt every time there was a long ball in the second half. And for the love of God, take Perez out and put Ochoa in... had that shot that hit the post gone in, it would have been his fault for standing there and doing nothing.

Overall it was really disappointing, but a point is better than a loss. Mexico has a lot to prove now, because it's only gonna get harder from this point on.

I thought that Perez's performance was laughable. Have to say Khune was amazing. He's got a bright future.

As for the match, not a great match. I am disappointed SA didn't pull off the win. Mphela was so close.

About the refereeing, very good match for Irmatov and the linesmen.
