2010 FIFA World Cup 3rd Place Game: Uruguay v. Germany [P/R]

Muller is starting to get pissed. Yelled at Kiessling for not dropping the ball off to him, and almost looked disappointed that he couldn't get the 3rd goal. Some rare moments of selfishness from him.

What a match! I have a strange feeling that tomorrow's match is going to be a borefest as almost every game Spain participated in ended up being dull. Hopefully I'm wrong..

Well done Uruguay .. you need a good GK if you are planning to go further in 2014

Germany were awesome .. for me they were the most entertaining team in the world cup
4-0 Australia
4-1 England
4-0 Argentina
3-2 Uruguay
young team with a good tactical manager. They don't have Messi or Ronaldo, but they know how to play like a team.. Germans should be proud.

Beautiful game. Congrats Germany! The commentator here said , emotionally, "Welcome back Uruguay among the elite". I never thought I'd hear this so soon.

Suarez was incredible. Missed 1 chance, but the way he took on the entire German defense was incredible. Especially those 2 in between leg moves. His shot was jaw dropping.
Lugano = one of the world's best DC
Ruso Perez is incredible. Heading to Barca i just heard
Fucile is incredible.

The way how Uruguay contrasted Argentina And Brazil's arrogance throughout the tournament has been inspirational.

awesome match!
I was rooting for Uruguay and they did a wonderful job tonight, Muslera ****ed up badly though.
I'm not gonna be able to watch the final so at least I'm glad I got to see this goalfest (Y)

Unlike Club football, national teams MUST have the approval of FIFA before putting stars on their kit.

And I suggest you to take a look at some African national teams’ kits and badges.

Also many historians consider the 1928 FIFA/Olympic games to have shown the highest standard of football until 1954.

Was only done by the PUMA sponsored teams for the Nations Cup. In the World Cup not of them had any stars by their badges.

Succes at Villarreal and Atleti and none of the big clubs really try to sign him. Golden foot twice.

He's obviously good, but not being able to hack it at a top club isn't good for his legacy. I know he's much better, but his career goal scoring seems similar to that of Mario Gomez.

Mario Gomez?? Gomez has some way to go before he can be compared to the likes of Forlan. Forlan's goal scoring has been pretty impressive since he left us. He has been one of Europe's lethal strikers for a while now. Just very under-rated.

I'm quite sure any Man Utd here would easily accept him back. Best player of the tournament up to now. Let's see what Sneijder and Villa are preparing for us.
