Home game against Portimonese today (on my way to the Dragão soon (H)), let's hope our boys don't take their feet of the peda land step up to pull up another exciting performance.
We'll be missing a lot of starters with Moutinho suspended, Fernando and Falcao both injured plus Maicon and Sapunaru being rested, but I'm confident their subs will do a solid job. Walter to hit his second hattrick in as many starts? I surely hope so :cb:

2-0, minimum workrate tonight, more than enough to get the 3 points though (Y)

now we have the Cup match before going to Alvalade, which should be a vital moment concerning our title bid..in case we win there as I obviously expect us to, then only a catastrophy would take the crown away from us.

having said that...NEXT! (H)

Falcao is probably the best striker that ever played for Porto.
I mean Gomes was very good, Jardel was an authentic goal machine, but this colombian dude is simply out of this world. All you can ask for in a striker is there in him, and he still manages to excel himself as time goes by. Incredible player, hope we can keep him around forever and ever...

last game of the year tomorrow, let's hope we get a good win in order to keep our magnificent record.

Vamos Porto!

totaly agree... he is like colombian Inzaghi, just he is waaay more better with controling the ball than "original" Inzaghi...

indeed...guess it had to happen sooner or later, I'm just glad it took place in the mickey mouse cup though...one can face this result as a pressure-releaser for the players once the unbeaten run is now gone.
We have enough reasons to keep up the optimism :read:

Yep, I just hoped we played even more non-starters, I couldn't give a **** about the League Cup ever since it was made.

I still want to win it anyway, although now we have to wait for Nacional to win none of their last 2 matches...of course this is a secondary competition but you know the dragon's hunger for the win is insatiable :taz: (H)

Yeah I'm not to crazy with the "win everything" thing. I mean winning League, Cup and League Cup would be great, but if we played an all u-18 squad in the league Cup I'd think it'd be great, too. When we lost 4-1 in Alvalade with a B team I was actually glad some of them could play, I didn't care we lost...

I agree with the part about giving an opportunity to youngsters in this competiton but I can't say I wouldn't mind being thrashed every now and then by our biggest rivals, dude.
I just won't stand that kind of humiliation no mater what our line-up is...over the years, the results would still be there and you know people wouln't remember the circumstances of every match.

Anyway, here's hoping Saturday comes quick so we can back on the right track...I reckon Marítimo will be the receiver of PAIN! (H)

It wasn't against Benfica, but we didn't lose by waiting a few more games, Massive (H)
