could you tell us how did you get this file size, V-9?
First, you would create a kit. For the format is used, it is by 192x192 pixels for the hjfr, hjbx. 96x96 for sleeves and socks. Shorts is 150x96 and crest is 128x128. Since the format I am using is in 24 bit, this takes up so much physical space. My first attempt was about 422KB per kit with this format and color depth. I was able to compress it down to a third.
You need gfxpak. Here is the command line:
gfxpak -real -compress xx.fsh new.fsh
xx.fsh is the created kit .fsh or kit .fsh you want to compress and new.fsh is the name of the .fsh after compressed by gfxpak.
An example:
let say I want to compress the USA home home kit. Since the kit number is jh01387.fsh: here is the command line:
gfxpak -real -compress jh01387.fsh jhusa.fsh
after it is compressed. just renamed the compressed file (jhusa.fsh in this case) to jh01387.fsh.
NOTE: all these files must be in the same folder or directory.
I think Ariel can include this compression method in Kitraptor. maybe he did already since El_Gallo said that the new 3GK in 32 bit is actually smaller than a regular 2GK kit.
