"No one" meaning? Because if you mean the Portuguese press, who're the ones who found out first about Villas-Boas, then there is someone thinking about Moutinho.

Thats what everyone was saying when Torres went to Chelsea.

Not everyone. I was completely against it because it was a high-sum move for someone who doesn't fit the system. I actually went into a long tactical discussion about whether and how he could be fitted it. My conclusion was playing him on the wing as the most advanced player to make diagonal runs with Drogba (although Anelka would fit better) coming deep and making space for him. But Carlo decided a 4-4-2 would be the way to go. That failed.

I was just saying that he sucks.

Yeah Torres was a dumb move. But would you rather he leaves and Drogba stays or the opposite? Though I reckon the best thing would be to keep both and sell Anelka, it seems the choice is between Torres and Drog...

Ooh so it was an even stupider post! (H)

You're right, world class players get sold to rivals in the same league all the time.

As a neutral, I would LOVE to see them sell Torres at a huge loss

You do realize you've written that AND something related to Fernando Torres on the same post?

I dunno, Both of them had great seasons and hjave proven themselves wheras Torres has age on his side. I'd keep them all, but with more forwards coming in, that won't happen. Drogs could be helpful in tutoring Lukaku, whereas his big personality could become an issue with him being benched. Chances are they'll both leave in the next two years. I envision our future starting line-up to be something akin to (assuming we sign these players of course):

Lukaku (de Bruyne) - Torres (Falcao) - Sturridge (Kalou)
Modric (McEachran) - Mikel (Chalobah) - Essien (Ramires)
van Aanholt (Bertrand) -Alves (Bruma) -Alex (Chalobah) -Bosingwa (Ivanovic)

I think a manager would find it easier to mold Lukaku into a role on the left than Torres, whose a more established player. Although Torres fits there better, like Villa for Barca. Because of age, I've omitted Yossi, Lamps, Malou, Anelka, Drogs and Terry. Chalobah is in there twice because I've seen him play both roles and he has a good future ahead of him.

I dunno how we'll phase out so kmany brilliant players. I'm a sentimental and would like to see them all retire at the club.

Liverpool isn't really a competitor of Chelsea right now, and it's not like Moutinho went for a comical 57m euros either.

And Az, what do you have against Luiz? Not even a sub on your future Chelsea team??? He's clearly your future at center half.

Well if he goes, this time I probably won't have the same sympathy for Chelsea as I did when Mourinho went.

:md:

I can't believe that we've raided Porto TWICE now. This must be bad news for the Porto fans, especially after last seasons achievements and the things he said about staying put.

As a Chelsea fan though, I am surprised but rather excited to see him back at the Bridge. I like his thoroughness and attention to detail. Here's hoping he's gonna be a success.

Sorry to all Portistas(Y)

Oh I have nothing against the club, obviously. If it was the other way around I'd be ecstatic, I mean if he was shyte Porto fans wouldn't be as angry as they are :D

But damn, what a way to cut deep.

Yeah you're right Fili. If he was crap no one would care about his leaving. That bodes well for us I guess, but to raid the same club twice for their coach, backroom staff and possibly players too, is a bit cheeky to say the least. (Y)

I just can't believe that after all the love and fidelity he swore towards the club all year long counted for **** after he was offered this load of cash.
I am truly heart-broken, but what matters is that the club an its supporters are still here and will always be, no matter what.
we will keep on winning, and I REALLY hope we get the chance to meet Chel$ea, Libras-Boas and anyone else from our squad that eventually joins them (yeah I'm facing it, e.g. Falcao is as good as gone) in the coming edition of the CL.

ROMAN YOU ******* ****.

Implying that Sporting's Moutinho was a really competitor of Porto...

Maybe you're right, but at least from a distance it seems like Sporting are (or were) a lot closer to Porto than Liverpool are/were to Chelsea.

As for Porto... I was actually using you guys as an example on a Bayern Forum about a week ago. I was saying how you have EVERYTHING except money. You have the best facilities, coaching, proximity to family (if you're Portuguese), and even the potential to win the Champions League...

and yet money rules everything in football, so you can't keep your best players. It's kind of sad really (although **** Porto after 87). Of course, it's kind of happy for me because I was comparing you to Borussia Dortmund who also have everything except money and will slowly lose all of their good players because of finances too. And Dortmund don't have anything even close to your brilliant scouting and development network. You'll be very good again in a few years even if the entire squad leaves... Dortmund will miss the Champions League for 5 years in a row if they lose just a couple players (and TBH, Sahin alone might be enough for this).

Ahahah Libras-Boas (H)

That's quite funny. I'm gonna use that nickname in future references to him from now on, if you don't mind.

Seriously though every manager would want the opportunity to coach a big team in the Premiership or La Liga. I think the worst part is that even recently he actually went on and on about staying in his club and how he loved that special chair, etc.

On another note I really hope to see Falcão leaving, he's your best player by far imo.
