To everyone:
I discovered a way to set-up and save the game settings, controller assistance, rule hand ball, game speed and gp sliders, half length, camera settings and more.
You must open the db with dbm12, go to fifaGameSettings table, you can see 4 lines with all settings, edit with your favorite settings, save the same settings in the 4 lines for all the values.
It work also with fast start enabled. Use pre-patched db mod.
Start game, enjoy your settings!

I have Fidel's mod and I have 6 minute halfs. But if I change that line to 10 or 15, I still have only 6 minutes halfs. Are you sure anything above 6 minutes works with this demo? If you have some suggestions, I'd appreciate the help, thanks.

EDIT: Fixed it in the db settings, simple.

Well learning that we can set our settings in the DB using DBM12 (see fidels previous post) there is a field for half length in the DB, so try setting that higher, I haven't tried yet. Maybe its ignored any higher from engine for demo.

BTW fidel where are the values/table under setting in DB for setting full manual control? I cant seem to link them to know what to set, anyone list them? I have all sliders done now and working saved.

That's what I did yup, thanks. I'm interested in locating manual settings in the db as well, I'll let you know if I find them.

nice to see fellow manual players exist, most people are the let the game do it for me type.

BTW just to log it, i removed any HALF_LENGTH= lines from ini's and forced "10" value in DB for halflength under settings table and that def gives me 10 min halved. You may not need it but if you want to deff force it thats the way.

Its almost a criminal offence to enter fifa under anything than manual settings

It's really weird. I have installed the mod to a newly created random folder on my desktop. Then I just took the user.ini and moved it into the FIFA 14 folder.
But neither placing a // in front of it, nor deleting it helped.

(I had actually deleted everything except for

Its \Origin Games\FIFA 14 Demo\Game that folder to place that ini file.

It does work, not sure exactly what your doing but you must be mising something for that not to work.

BTW as regards the DB you wont find it its something supplied by the modders/mod that you have to copy in to use.

Use this tool for it to detect the DB to load it (and other mods files):

Once you copy this tool over as instructed in that thread just place DB file to the path:

\Origin Games\FIFA 14 Demo\Game\Fifa14mod\data\db

In bold is what you create once you install that tool. So anything in "Fifa14mod" folder using correct paths (that mods will have in the zips) you copy into there and it will pick it up and use. cl.ini or user.ini should mainly just go in the folder before that ("game").

If you were trying my suggestion of editing DB im not sure if that might be a can of worms. You could always simply delete the fifa14demo folder and let origin download again fresh

Well not a problem, I will try to give my best to review the beta version.
I hope there will be improvements to the tempo of the game, each player needs a rest instead of having to run continuously. Doc, continue to make the best ..

Sorry for asking this, but i didn't really understand. I've downloaded FIFA 14 Demo File Loader, I've also downloaded the Fifa 14 Demo database files (fifa_ng_db.db and fifa_ng_db-meta.xml). I placed this files into ...Origin Games\FIFA 14 Demo\Game\Fifa14mod\data\db folder, opened them with dbm12, edited the fifaGameSettings table (handball turned on on every row, radar turned off in every row, adjusted brightness, contrast and sliders after my taste in every row. Saved, but nothing had changed. Do i need to do something else? Thanks for your help

To test your DB is working and being read change a slider value to "0" and then check in game if it matches.

For example the second row "gcaccelerationuser" set them all rows under this entry to "0" then go in game and see if your acceleration slider for user is 0. Make sure after edits your actualy saving the DB back and check its date/timestamp.

If after all that lot its being ignored, you either have wrong folder or check you have latest demo file loader. Make sure you fully exit fifa to do edits, save DB back, check its date/time stamp so you know its overwritten correctly, then load origin and launch (to make double sure).

It might even be that the entries you happen to change are just ignored in the demo (not sure but might be) sliders are the best way to tell.

I don't know if you read the discussion from the beginning but the problem is not that it doesn't work; of course it works. The problem is that even if I delete the line about halftime length it's always at 6 min.
