Yes I have also noticed the CPU has the same passing bug.

Yes, ground pass to player near your player with the ball. Always goes to some far player, even i just click pass B. i dont hold for too long, no chance. I dont want to play like Barcelona, but somethimes you need to pass to near player, its part of the game. It wasnt like that before in Fidel mods. But it is now.

I use semi or automatic. i Cant use manual pass because i play with keyboard ( i have only 8 directions). iam waiting for month now that someone help me with this, and i dont play.

I can se that many of us have same problem, FIdel please help us.

Here is my recommendation. Until Fidel manages to fix it, try removing the cl.ini which is the AI fidel introduces, but keep his Hybrid Gameplay. It works well for me, not as good as his AI but the passing can be too frustrating at times.

I took some codes from Fidels and AP .inis, and with few tips from Bangus I managed to collect some codes in rna.ini from both modders for my taste. AI is more aggressive and do more fouls.

I suppose it is too difficult to explain how to add more lines to Fidel's .ini?
Or make your own to help with Fouls and Injuries?

Add more lines? No. I deleted 70% and more of Fidels lines and changed some values. Wanna try my .ini? I use it with Fidel's HG 2.0, default db.

- Increased pass attribute short passing
- Restored to original settings the leading time for receiver selection (I'm testing the best value)
- Increased shoots speed
- Disabled related sprint speed sliders settings into the ini
- Revamped AI attack style, decreased global AI cross tendency,
with a consequent increase of other situations/modes/styles of AI attack
- Increased players aggression
- Some minor settings update
- All previous improvements

INSTALLATION/UPDATE
Copy Game folder into your FIFA 14 MAIN folder (\Origin Games\FIFA 14)
or copy new cl.ini into your \Game folder.

If you use HG, for mix my GP EVO AI with Pirlo AI:
in order to enable full HG in-game, make sure to open Pirlo AI and remove or disable the string:
USE_REMOTE_GAMEPLAYATTRIBDB.

I released for myself this mod: FIFA 14 GFX PARTICLES MOD 0.9 and now I decided to share.
I decided to release this mod because I did not like the original snow particles fx while I was playing this game/match (check pics):
Galatasaray-Juve - UCL in CM mode (some news about this match day mod on my old post back, I've released for myself, I've also added Galatasaray stadium: Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi, Istanbul):


Pics are not related to the upcoming mod.

I'm finalizing some edit, when ready, I upload the mod.

THIS MOD CONSISTS OF AN INCREASE/TWEAK OF FIFA 14 GFX PARTICLES EFFECTS.
THIS MOD IS DESIGNED AND IMPLEMENTED FOR MONSTER/HIGH SPECS PCS ONLY.


TWEAKED/REALISTIC GFX PARTICLES FOR THE FOLLOWING EFFECTS:

- snow
- rain
- player's breath
- confetti cannon
- confetti loop
- dirt kick
- foot plant
- foot splash
- sky fireworks
- wet slide

TIPS:
On this first beta version I've duplicated the NumParticlesMax, fSizeMean and iEmitRate of particles + minor tweaks.
Open xml files with notepad++ and edit yourself, the editing is almost intuitive, you can see many strings settings/values.
For example if you want to quadruple the number of particles in snow mode:
Open snow_0.lnx and snow_1.lnx, go to:
<parameter name="iNumParticlesMax" index="0" value="2400" />
and set value like this:
<parameter name="iNumParticlesMax" index="0" value="4800" />
save files, check the effect in game.
Game files regeneration is required only at first time mod installation.

INSTALLATION

Copy Game folder into your FIFA 14 MAIN folder (\Origin Games\FIFA 14)
Regenerate game files through your favorite FIFA 14 Regenerator.

hi,
first of all, great job in doing this... I've been out of the fifa 4 pc games for a while (xbox 360...) but have gotten back to it after doing some research on the modding scene
i just want to be sure i've done everything correct because things were a little confusing after 4 years of absence :)
so i did:
1) fresh copy of fifa 14 (origin)
2) installed moddingway with all the latest updates (up to 1.26)
3) installed the latest full pack
HG 2.0 (latest Hybrid Gameplay)
GP EVO AI 2.2 (latest AI)
GP EVO DB 2.1 (latest updated db)
4) copied the latest AI (2.3) manually to overwrite the existing one
5) copied latest DB (2.2) files over game folder
6) regenerated files with FM 14
=> do I just click on regenerate all or do i have to chose / search specific files first?

did i do ok for my first time :-)

also: does this only affect gameplay in career and tournament mode or are there also differences in friendly/kickoff games?

Not bad but I made the same mistake, You can not have two DB's!!
Use Moddingway like myself or use Fidels database your choice.
But one only :)

Well if you read back just a few pages you will see that I was advised
that Fidel has his own database (latest 2.1) or you can use another one or even your own updated DB.

Does your game work? check which DB it is using
i.e. can you play the new World Cup with Modding way or not?

Hey Fidel,

So I tested this. Again remember I so far am still using the original DB with my 4-5 year running career, but your newest HG and AI. Overall, the passing issues are resolved. No more extreme passes. However, I am seeing the following issues:

- Players still occasionally "miss" the ball, as its passed to them or they are running quickly in to space. So First Time shots and passes are not as easily achieved. Its not as bad as before, but not nearly as smooth as the AI that comes with the game. This can be very frustrating. It does occasionally lead to a bit of funny moments, but at other times, it also leads to frustration.

- Fouls: having great difficulty getting fouls called for me. At one point I managed to get past a player, but he ended up practically pushing meto the ground, no foul was called.

- Handball penalties; is this feature switched off by chance? with your AI I never seem to get any, with default AI, I do see it.

Thanks again for your efforts Fidel, it feels SO close to being complete, but the players sometimes "searching" or "missing" the ball prevents this from being perfect.

Anyone with Fidel's DB care to comment if they see any of the issues I listed?
