I was asking who were you referring to when you said:

Oh, so he's DM. I thought he'd be CB like Xaviesta said. That's more understandable although still a slap in the face. At least Rode is starting.

I'd still be pissed if I was Martinez or Kroos who are not worse and have been displaced or sold by some aging CM and some fullbacks because the manager has too much ego to just carry on a winning formula and wants to reinvent the wheel.

Also feel bad for Rode because he is too talented to sit on the benxh but that's hia fault.

Other senior CMs who are injured? Alonso is not benching any senior CMs right now. Martinez benched Gustavo when Bayern smuggled him out of Bilbao. xD

Kroos wanted to leave. He said "RM is a step-up" then did damage control and gave an interview to DFB site. In hindsight, Kroos leaving improved the system, no more 10000 side passes and back passes. Instead him as the center point of the attack, it's Robben that's became the focal point.

Pep's has always favored Kroos and he doesn't want him to be sold. He also convincing Alonso to join before October when he extended his contract to RM. Kroos wants more money. It's his right. He feels he is important to the team, looked like he wasn't that important. If Kroos deserves the money he wants, Alaba deserves just as much which he asked for, offered a smaller one, but accepted anyways.

Rode knows what he is getting into when he mutually agreed with Bayern he will join even before Pep took the helm. He's not called the Pitbull if he easily backs down to a challenge. The season is young and Bayern didn't exactly have a pre-season to prepare the team to rotate as much players as possible. Rotated players, 0-0 against HSV. He'll get his chance because he has been doing well whenever he comes in. I can't say the same for Shaqiri. He is sucking more and more.

Theory: the reason why there are so many great young German GKs now is that they all grew up watching Oliver Kahn.

Watched Gladbach-Bayern and I dare say Gladbach had the better chances. Bayern were never comfortable and didn't control the match. Kruse was intelligent as alwsys and Kramer had a good match too. Rafinha is really annoying.

Hoeness is critical of a possible Bayern move for Reus this summer, saying that it could ruin German Football and apparently being quoted as saying "do you really want to win the title by Christmas?"

I disagree. First of all, I think it helps German football to have the best players actually playing in Germany, not to mention the obvious knock-on effect of having like 8 starters on the German National Team playing club football together. Reus is leaving Dortmund this summer, so Dortmund are already going to be weaker. It makes more sense keeping such a player in the Bundesliga than buying someone similar from abroad (which we will do because Ribery and Robben aren't getting any younger) who will cost double the price. Secondly, the point of Bayern is to win, not to win in an exciting fashion by limiting the strength of our squad. We want to win the Champions League too, and having the best players (who work together well, obviously) is the way to do that.
