Hi All,

here are my thoughts on the latest 2.8 AI, not his DB.



The positives:

- Yellows and fouls. Love it, feels like a real game there.
- Amazing goals, kicks, goalkeeping and skills with the AI.
- Overall strategy is much better than the default one.
- Fidel has done his best to switch off as many "script cheats" as he can. The AI still sometimes does an amazing job of scoring on me in the last second which annoys me, but overall his mod is far superior than the default gameplay.

Now my general complaints remain the same for me:

- Tackles are too perfect at times, while others not so much. This wouldn't be bad if it was the defenders doing it, but even attackers have crazy tackle skills. This comment is 2.8AI but NOT Fidel's DB which I will try today.

- Protecting is generally good, but I have seen certain players not sure if it is fast players or certain players with higher skill bypass my protect, nudge the ball off of my feet and blast past me. I will continue to analyze this, as this could be due to the fact that it isn't a player with higher control.

- Tackling the PC is very very hard, so I generally play containment football.

- Reactions of my AI players and heck even me at times is too slow. AI will be going one direction, and then switch directions, and my player will be left behind. Enemy AI does it to MY AI all the time as well. This issue is EA in general and has NOTHING to do with Fidel's mod, but part of me hopes somehow he can find a way around it.

- With Fidel's mod i am not sure if different teams retain their team strategies, like Barcelona and Bayern Munich do slow build up, while real madrid and Dortmund do counter football. If anyone knows for sure, let me know.

- Also, I have found that due to computer reaction vs me clicking buttons, the AI will almost ALWAYS win a one on one challenge. For example, if I rush towards the ball, even if my player is faster, for some weird reason AI gets to it first. Also, if we both get to it the same time, more often than not, AI will get possession, I will loose possession.

DISCLAIMER: I do not know if much of this difficulty is due to World Class difficulty "cheats and scripts" installed to make the game harder vs. having the game play smarter.

Things I would LOVE to see:

- Better protect
- Better AI assisting me, i'm tired of doing EVERYTHINg
- Zero cheats, except for an occasional morale system that either pushes a team to try and catch up or has the team give up if they're too far behind.
- Better headers, i have had MAJOR issues getting any headed in from a corner or free kick.
- Less perfect tackles
- PC not winning every single one on one challenge (annoying to see two of my players or three even having issues dispossessing an unknown)


Tonight, I intend to do testing with Fidel's DB and 2.8 AI. For some reason his 2.3 experimental AI remains my favorite.

Guys a question, which I have to change in the parameter file cl.ini to have more 'long range shooting of the cpu? I do 1 shot every 10 games ...

Hey Fidel, any idea if its possible to decrease the stamina hit that players feel? My team isn't made of top players and as such I'm seriously struggling with stamina. I'm still in friendlies and don't quite a bit of subs and I'm already facing major problems. Any advise would be appreciated.

I am liking 2.6 a bit more than 2.8. The AI seems to tackle with near 100% accuracy on 2.8 and I didn't feel this as much on 2.6. Also, heading on 2.6 seemed a bit easier and I could use large players as targets heading in crosses. I cannot get a single cross or corner to get headed in any more.

what is the point of regenerating? MW mod does this in the installer and the CL ini , as far as I can tell, does not need regerating ?

Hi All! quoting my own reply as here are my opinions of this mod with 2.8 and FULL DB by Fidel

Positives:

- Great foul system! Its consistent and happens often. Red cards and yellows cards are there, sometims i feel they are a bit much, but i don't care, i'd rather the PC get punished for some of the tackles it does.
- The football is excellent. Great passing games, occasional shots from outside.
- Player stats are good, I like how Fidel has made sure not everyone is super fast, and that although the overall for some players isn't very high, they are still VERY useful. I have Max Meyer in my team and despite only having an 80 overall, he is amazing on the ball, and in passing which is what his main skills should be in. Only a few players are amazing in near everything.
- The build up game is very important. slowly moving players up field including your full backs. It plays well.

Overall impression, I am loving how it plays so far!

Some negatives:

- Sometimes the response system between clicking the button and the player doing what you want them to do is delayed.
- Not all cheat scripts are removed. I have gotten in the habit of slowing down the opposition team at the 88th min+ so that the last minute goal script doesn't ruin a fun game for me.
- This complaint i'm not sure if it is due to changes that Fidel did or just the way the career mode plays, some of my high potential players aren't growing despite being in the starting lineup.
- The stamina is a bit too low overall, especially when you are playing in a weaker team, I am constantly having to sub players, and I do not use the sprint button often at all.

That's it from me, overall, great gameplay with the Fidel DB. Less so without the DB.

Anyway to unlock the edit player in career mode for be a pro? I see the one that works for manager career mode, but I'd like to edit during a be a pro career, can it be done with one of the editors here, or is there a way to unlock it? Thanks.

Hi Fidel,

i play on WC with 2.8

I think the major issue remaining is the lack of movement of my players.

On the attacking side my teammates don't make enough runs. Sometimes they just have to make a 2 yards run to avoid marking and they never make it. They are really really dumb, no tactital awareness at all

On the defensive side, they simply never follow the CPU runs and they never put enough pressure on the ball carrier. I tried to adjut marking slider to 100 but no effect, if a CPU player makes a run my defender never anticipate, never prevent the pass. Again, no tactical awareness at all, just dumb defending.

This lack of tactical awareness and reaction of my teammates is, to me, a real game breaker.

If you could find a way to solve this it would be amazing

Hello Fidel. Im not sure why but 2.6 feels better in my opinion than 2.8. In 2.8 ggoalkeepers are even harder to beat which is more crazy in a bad way. 2.8 feels inconsistent somehow...
2.8 is much faster as well which is bad I think.
Overall there should be more fight in a midfield and build up play should be much harder. Currently it is too easy to make a good opportunity for shoot for both human player and cpu as well.

when installled files from MW + cl.ini, the system will not see the changes, so thats why is necessary to regenerate.
in the future, if u don't know what u are talking about, ask before posting, take it as an advice, m8.

For those interested, i turned off adaptive difficulty to see how things play out:

- Less pressure by the PC
- More outside shooting
- Less predictability

The game becomes slower, but i feel like the PC cheats far less. No incredible tackles, no them winning every 1vs1 challenge, etc... Not 100% sure how i feel about it, but we'll see. I encourage others checking it out to see how their games play out, i am curious.

Hi there,

Can anyone tell me what to change in CL.ini to get AI playing a bit easier? Professional level is definitely too easy but world class in career mode is inpossible for me. 10/10 AI's shots, 10 goals and no even way to score the goal. I am getting pissed off. Absolutely amazing work , but just a bit big diffeference between two leveles. It is really important so help me out, please ;-)

Can you do a IA equal Pes 2015? I think that your patch are good but in my opinion the ia should do more passes to back and create different situations.
