So the Angel is falling, Pedro could be on his way. Would be happy with Pedro. I know he has not had his best year but it is hard to get play time when competing with MSN and the year before that MAN.
Our first team would be balanced if he replaces Di Maria. He is used to possession football also which will be a plus.
We could do with a backup striker to cover for undroppable Rooney. Depay and Pedro on the wings sounds great and midfield is best it has ever been after Scholes/Keane. I would like to see an experienced central defender but we did alright defensively last season. We conceded 37 goals compared to Chelsea's 32. A lot of that has to do with De Gea but looks more likely that he will see out his contract. I hope he stays focused though. If we want to challenge for the title, we should buy a central defender.

I think Madrid will get him just before the deadline. Van Gaal is being a dick towards Valdes, so it looks like Romero will be the guy. He's okay, but that's a pretty significant drop off from De Gea to him.

Sergio Romero who doesnt speak a word of English,with Smalling and BLind ahead of him. Didnt think that would work out well,Romero was calm.Controlled his area,seemed confident on ball and made few vital stops.
Matteo Darmian has impressed me,Position: Spot on,solves everything,chooses correct options and fills lanes offensively. A good start to the League,Need more pedigree in attack,but they seemed more balanced.A lot to build on,this builds confidence.

Missed the game because I was on vacation. Just watched the game. We were not good enough especially offensively. The positive to take from this game is that we were very solid defensively. Double pivot and Darmian makes a very big difference.
Rooney did not have any service at all. Young other than the build up that lead to the goal was crap. Mata and Depay were ok but we would get the best out of them in their natural positions.
I think we should start with Carrick and Schweinsteiger. They are both good defensively and can offer something forward. Schneiderlin is a very good defensive midfielder but does not give much forward.

Its hard to appreciate his game because he is a defensive midfielder who's main attribute is tackling and interceptions. He can make good passes but most of his passes are simple passes. His characteristics are extremely important for the EPL. I would still start with Carrick and Schweinsteiger in most games though.
