Ricardo Pereira loaned to Nice for 2 seasons, now that I think about it the Layun move makes a lot sense. He'll probably be our starting LB and back-up for Maxi at RB...I like it.

To add some context to this transfer. Chivas over the past 5 or so years have signed a bunch of players who were at the end of their careers and sold the idea to their fans that these "star" signings were going to once and for all take them out of the hole and put them over the top. Some of the players were indeed well known but way past their prime and Chivas' situation got relatively worse with each passing transfer window making their bust signings an easy target for ridicule.

However, this is not the case. Orbelin Pineda is an excellent signing. The best midfield prospect for Mexico at the moment and a player on many team's wish list. I know America was after him. Had he gone there he was guaranteed stardom and a contract with a European club in the foreseeable future...but now...now we just won't know, will we? (H)

A VERY talented young player going to Chivas. I'm telling you the world has gone mad.
