De Gea must be so mad. He was already at his girlfriend's place in Madrid, waiting. (H) I guess he will have to return to Manchester. This kind of shitt happens when you have issues with a girl. Time for De Gea to ditch Edurne.

Still can't believe this shit is happening. I blame Real Madrid for that fucking mess. They waited for the last minute to put in an offer, Take that.

What will happen to Gea then? He will need to play games if he wants to play for Euro 2016. Will he be able to focus for the whole year knowing that he will leave at the end of the season? Best would be if he signs a contract then be sold at the end of the year to RM but don't think he'll sign.

The long United statement concludes: "It is our understanding that the deals couldn't happen because:

Wilson started games ahead of Falcao last year ... where is he?

If you are going to play with a lone striker, you need a good one to start games, a good backup and 1 more backup. I guess we will have Rooney as starter, Martial as backup and Depay and Wilson if needed. We have enough cover for the CF position but not sure whether they will be reliab. Rooney must start scoring goals. If we want to challenge for the title he must score at least 15 goals.

Overall I think we are worse this season. Last season we had Di Maria who made lots of assists despite being poor for most games. We had van Persie who scored 10 goals. The onlt thing that's much better this season is our midfield. Defense is unchanged.

And Chicharito, despite being a hero for us was sadly a limited striker. He was a poacher who did nothing at all when not scoring and he wanted to play games. Players like him won't flourish under van Gaal because he won't get service with the stupid possession football. I think it's good we sold him. Martial would be a better fit because he is fast, strong and powerful and can also play on both wings.

I think Martial will feature heavily, unless he quickly shows himself to be not ready. I see him starting regularly upfront with Rooney playing off him as number 10/old style supporting striker role.

You're probably right. Rooney's best position is still number 10 or supportive striker even though he scored 26/27 goals a season playing as # 9 a few seasons ago. Because he's so slow now and has lost his sharpness in front of goal, number 10 would probably be better for him.

Martial scored just 9 goals last season so I wonder if we will get enough goals. He will likely be better this year because he is 1 year more experienced and surrounded by better players but we will have to see. I just hope he's not another expensive teenage flop like Anelka and Cassano were. I hope he progresses like Pogba did but what a huge gamble this was.

By the way here is a list of most expensive teens:



Saviola, Anderson and Cassano flopped. Most players from this list did much more compared to Martial to prove that they were wortth the gamble though.

EDIT: Saviola was actually not a flop for Barcelona, more for Real Madrid.

To be honest, Anderson was OK during Sir Alex era, some injuries in last few fergie years, but he turned to another player when Moyes came ... not Moyes fault ...

Nady, he scored 9 goals but the majority came from at the end of the season when he apparently played more minutes ahead of Berba ...

Huge gamble though ... it's funny how people compare it to Sterling ... Sterling is only 1 year older but I think his talent at EPL is very much proven ...
