Yeah, that was fucking incredible. It's been a few years, but Mata looks back at his best.

Mata is in incredible form. 5 goals 4 assists in 9 games.
He scored 18 goals in 55 EPL games for ManU and scored 18 goals in 82 EPL goals for Chelsea so his goalscoring has been better for us but he has made considerable less assists in his first 2 seasons. Hopes he gets both goals and assists this season.
That assist was class but it was coupled with luck because the ball could have gone anywhere. I mean with that kind of kick, it is hit or miss.

Smalling is looking immense, along with shaw and darmian. Pitty about the injury.
Mata back to his best and we finally have a decent midfield. Its just shocking to think our strongest position, the strikers... is now our weakest.
Martial and another buy come january/summer along with another top class defender and we will be close to our top gear.
Next summer we should really look good, more players and adapting to the system another year. I suppose i shouldnt get carried away... very early, 8 weeks into the season.

sigh... why does he insist on playing wingers as full backs. So many others he could of played, mcnair, jones etc.
Not sure the double pairing of carrick and schweinsteigers working, reminds me of gerrard + lampard combo. He needs Herrera back in there.

I think I agree. Herrera has not been that great as AMF though, still will be more useful than Rooney.
If Rooney's poor form continues throughout the season, I would not be surprised if LvG sold Rooney like he did for van Persie. Rooney already said he would like to play in the MLS at some point.
