3D Models editing Tools

There's O-Edit for viewing and (basic) editing for .o model files.

Sadly it's very limited in editing functions, you can only change the mesh with its vertices (positions, texture coords, normals maybe). Means it's nearly not possible to create your own faces (and that's the reason why most of FIFA10 face mods are so ugly - browse this forum and you'll understand it). Creating a face for FIFA10 actually means editing some face.

I also heard there's some converter for .o files, maybe someone with better experience could explain more about this way.

yep o-edit is good for basic editing.
Also you can try more complicated method - open o.file with o-files worker, export particular part you would like to edit to 3dm (or better obj) file and edit it in rhino.

you can use o-edit,but i think it is very different to editing.you can use the oedit o.file export txt.file, and then edit with Rhino

yes your version works ... but i can't import the edited file back in o. format after rhino editing is done!

Anyone know if the author of this tools is still active somewhere?
I'd like to talk with him cause worked on my own researching about .o files, his experience could be very helpful for me.

The approach is the same as for stadiums:
1) save your rhino works as 3ds
2) open stadium builder and use import to oif to import your 3ds part
3) save oif file and then run o-files worker. open o-file and import your saved oif file

I want to create faces not stadiums!

This method is useful for ANY o files.
The main point is to convert rhino --> 3ds --> oif --> o
With o-files worker you can import any parts you edited to any particular parts of the o file.
