You were provided specific editing instructions yet you still can't figure it out. That to me sounds like you are trying to edit things before you have even a basic understanding of the editing tools and how to edit the DB. You need to go back to the basics before I or anyone else spends more of their time trying to help. For example, tell me what you do to get your edits to show up in-game, after you edit the DB. Do you know where the save files are stored, and how to tell the squads save file from your settings save file?aliemre;3944640 said:

hi all
i read all the 63 pages in this thread but i couldn't find any help for my problem
i imported teams from previous fifa 15 patch but when i choose some of these teams to play wiht on kick off offline mode the game crashes to desktop.
someone here in this forum said that the problem is related to team formation so i deleted the imported formation for the crashed teams and create a new one then assign to this team with no luck.
be informed that i had some teams working well with there imported formations so i don't know what is the problem ? can anyone help me please

Assign commentary names to created players
I created 2 players with CM 16, one named Keller, the other named Zidane (after that Zidane). Now i would like the commentators to be able to say their names and for that to happen the players need to have a commentary name. There are 2 problems with that:
1. I can't assign one to them ingame (greyed out) and i'm not entirely sure how to do it in Creation Master 16. Does it work automatically, so if there is an audio for somebody named "Keller", the commentator will automatically say his names?
There is also an option with the headphones as icon in Creation Master, but i don't really know how it works? Do i have to change the player id to be the same as the audio id or what exactly am i supposed to do?
2. There are no commentary names for Keller or Zidan ingame, so i couldn't assign them even if it was theoretically possible to assign them to players created in CM. Now there is a Keller in the audio files when you open it with DB Master or Creation Master 16, but i dunno what that exactly means? Is that just an error/did EA mess up or is the name Keller just for an non-english version of the game?

Not sure Creation Master will work for that. You will probably have to use Database Master and add the commentary ID # to each player. I've done this many times and know it works. There are two commentary tables in the DB, sorry I can't help further but my PC crashed and I lost my files. Now I have no Database Master tool and rinaldo's site is dead. If you have a working copy of Database Master, could you upload the file here? I can then install it and help you further.ramdom487;3945740 said:

Anyway i've seen the tables,
first is "commentarynames" with some columns that i don't really understand ("commentarypreview","commentarystarting" --> Are their several audios for some players or what is it supposed to mean?) and
second is "playernames", where player names are matched to an commentaryid.
It seems like there is audio for first and last names in the playernames table, now the problem is just how to match an player to an audio. My player is named "Keller" and his lastnameid is 12031. In the playernames table the nameid 12031 is linked to the name "Keller" and the commentaryid 900910.
In the commentarynames table the commentaryid 900910 is also linked to the name Keller, in the column commentarystring and then there is also an column "commentarypreview" witht the value 1 for every entry except one guy, and an column "commentarystarting" with different values for the players, for Keller it's 11. I don't really understand this either. Commentarypreview seems to indicate whether it's possible to hear the preview ingame, which seems to be true for nearly everyone (1 = true), but it ISN'T possible to hear an preview for "Keller" ingame or to even just select it as commentaryname. Also i have no idea what "commentarystarting" means, maybe when its actually wortwhile to say the name in relation to the probable time until something important happens ingame (16 --> takes a lot of time to say the name, 2 --> takes very short), but that doesnÄt make much sense. There seems to be little correlation between name length and commentarystarting value and too many players have one as value.
From just looking at the tables it seems that the player "Keller" is already linked to an commentaryname, but i didn't hear his name ingame in a few short test sessions and ingame it says that no commentaryname is assigned to him (although ingame there is also no commentaryname "Keller").
The bigger mystery is Zidane. Even though there is no commentarystring in commentarynames and no commentaryid in playernames for Zidane, Zidan, Zinédine, Zinedine etc. i could clearly hear the commentators say several time "Zinédine Zidane xy" or "Zinédine Zidan to take the corner" etc., that seems to be similar to the experience of this guy. But they seem to say the name rather seldom and only ever say Zinédine Zidane, never just Zidane or sth. similar, and there probably is just one recording for the name.
Thanks for the hint in the previous post and i would appreciate any futher help, but i don't know how to link Zidane to an commentary ID that is apparently somewhere as the commentators use it, but now in the database or selectable ingame. Very strange.

Thanks for the link, really appreciated. The commentarynames table is not the one to edit. Open the playernames table, and at the bottom of the table add: 1. your new player's ID #; 2. player's name (Keller) ; 3. Keller commentary ID # (900910). Try that.ramdom487;3945893 said:
Commentary ID # 900000 in that list means the player has no commentary. Problem is not all the commentary ID's are active, even if the player has an ID other than 900000. Some have been removed over the years, and some are only spoken by Tyler and some only by Tyldesley. The way I test if an ID works: I edit the player, then go in-game and set him as one of my 4 DBs. I then pass the ball back and forth among my DBs, and if the player's name is active, you'll hear it soon enough. Setting the game on the easiest difficulty ensures the CPU won't attack and muss up your test.
Zidane isn't listed in either table, so unless you have his commentary ID from FIFA 05 or something, you can't test to see if you can create a player and assign that name.
Little tip BTW: I haven't edited commentary names for two years because I got fed up with Tyler and Gray's constant repetitive babbling... same stories about certain players and teams, every fricking game. Plus I hated that some players had names announced and some didn't. So I shut off all commentary and the game for me is now 500% better with just the on-the-pitch sounds.

The reason some FIFA 15 imported teams don't work is probably because the formation and player assignment info for those teams conflicts with the FIFA 16 info. Fixing any conflicts will probably require opening the 3 formation tables with DBM and manually editing/adjusting them. But it's time consuming and very complicated because you now have to list every player's assignment by ID number. I've edited two teams that way and it takes a good hour per team. CM can't/won't work because it has had issues with editing formation data ever since EA changed the table format 2 years ago.
