It is not aggressive but it is clear you don't read the boards or do any research on anything on your own.

We haven't figured out much as far as modding the game yet so as of right now we can't mod the game.

The LOD is a mod, so therefore you put 2 and 2 together and you have your answer.

This forum is full of the same questions asked over and over for no reason when all these members need to do is spend an extra 2 minutes reading you would know your answer and not ask the question.

FIFA 17 TRIAL - SUMMERY NEWS (little test)

Hello to everyone, sorry if the fatigue tweak don't work, try to cut and paste the fatigue string at first section,
on top of the ini, after screen time start button strings or below the first fifa demo string.
Anyway now 17 full game is coming, so I want to focus only on the full game.
I'm testing the 17 full trial game while I'm downloading.
I'm playing the game in ultra gfx. I don't see the awesome 3D Grass I need and I want early! F***
Over than 30 GB of game data, and I think there are 20 GB of video NIS non interactive sequences
for the story mode, and effective 10 GB of real used game data and related gfx textures.
But no 3D Grass, this is incredible! Is theare a problem beacuse I'm playing the trial at 43% download state?
Is this a problem about my nvidia driver settings? Is a common problem.
Everyone please confirm yes or no, is in your trial game the 3D grass pitch visible? Closed ball camera in the pitch?
Still the stupid grass plane like the demo when I go whit replay camera near the ball and foot.
Water effect is good during the gp, anyway to short the emitter time and frequency of water particles,
I don't know if is caused by the season, I've played summer and rain, anyway I've not tested rain on winter,
I think is different the emitting system for the rain gfx particles.
I see on rain mode a decreased global gfx settings and players's skin appear like a cartoon, I don't like.
I see nice global gfx details and lights system in day mode.
Checking some game files between demo and trial (full), the dev team increase low quality gfx settings,
no other edits for med, high and ultra settings setup.
I'm testing to add some gfx settings on the demo, I don't want to try mods on the full game while downloading.
This what I'm testing, I'm not sure is working, not tested in full game:
open your fifasetup.ini (backup file before) placed on 17 demo profile folder:
this is my setup (forced max settings for many gfx related settings, no lods at moment), edit your and adapt to your settings:

Or add these strings, to your ini, suggested easy way:

Remember all value above represents max settings, so don't increase my value, game crash and don't work.
You can only have the possibility to reduce my value.

Save, play, try. At first start the game read the file and re-order the strings.

Another way to add some advanced lod settings is to edit the file overrideAutodetect.lua placed in settings folder (profile),
game generate this file at every game start, if you edit, the game overwrite your edited file. If you make file read only the game don't start early,
and after 1 minute, game automatically remove the read only attribute and overwrite edited settings. I think is possible to iniect lua settings in the RAM, but is not easy to do, anyway I'll try very soon.
Anyway I'll continue to study game gfx settings structure in the full game when ready.
I've checked out in the RAM all gfx lod settings and where are placed all gfx engine lua settings files, I've all info about lua names and inside code.
The only big and serious problem (at moment) is to discover a way the make the game read from external folder and files.

You can also try the initfs_Win32 file from the full game into the demo (backup file before), it fix gamepad directional pad, gameplay is much more smoth,
you can see also improved global gfx like the full game, not sure for gp strings.
You can't use/see some other career mode new settings because career mode is not present in the demo,
this because the dev team apply some tweaks to career mode files in the full game version (..about manager performance and other good tweaks and addons)
Take care because whit this tweak now the game create a new profile folder in FIFA 17 like the full game,
so you must copy and paste manually your fifasetup.ini into profile FIFA 17 Demo on documents profile folder.
If you have the full game don't try out this tweak on the demo, otherwise you risk that the demo corrupt your full game profile folder files,
just in case you have started and saved from the full game. Not for me, while I'm downloading the trial, the saving profile is not enabled.
Anyway when the full trial is ready to start at 100%, I'll post some others impressions.

Also another tip for the demo, delete the file default_startup.nsi, at game start the exe regenerate this file, you can see a new file,
checkout in an hex editor comparing old and new generated file, the new one is not the same and include new settings for some game strings.
Check this file for find out some game debug info, useful for modders game programmers, frost hard tool's makers.

About ini gameplay files discussion: the locale.ini is the best and powerfull respect the aidefault.ini, yes because the exe read some ini files with this order:
Data/aidefault.ini
Data/aitestbed.ini
Data/attribute.ini
Data/var.ini
Data/desynctest.ini
Data/locale.ini
Data/testbedteams.ini
Data/product.ini
Data/game.ini
Data/localization_ids.ini
Data/kit_locale.ini
Data/missingcharmap.ini

so you can see the locale override a lot of ini files, not the product.ini, so you can not edit adaptive difficulty strings setup present in the product,
and all strings inside the original product.ini, but fortunately no more gp settings in this file, so you can do a lot of gp tweaks using the locale.ini.
The problem is not the only adaptive difficulty (not editable at moment, but not big issue), the big problem is:
is not possible to edit some important story mode strings I working on, for example, like the string related to,
I want Hunter come into the pitch after max 10 minutes before match started (mod) and not after 60+ (orig),
the original variable string is proportionally to your half time game setup. Anyway many details very soon.
The content of game.ini is unknown at moment, so this is bad. When I'm able to start the full game I'll check out the RAM to find out other info.

Anyway I'm sure: edit the gp is possible (not tested in full game), with many intelligent tricks this game will be magic.
Other two words about gameplay sliders in game settings, in the 17 trial match, I've used accel to 48, pass and shot speed to 40, touch error to 60,
all voice both human and cpu, gamepad all to manual. Globally nice gp, I've tried out only many minutes, I want to use the 10 hours in the full trial game.
Again: everyone please confirm yes or no, is in your trial game the 3D grass pitch visible? Closed ball camera in the pitch?

Yes, it is visible in the full game on closeup kicks and replays. Not visible from the cam while play is going on, that's the issue.

I see you are using the 17 on win 10 so the game use the dx12, not for me with win 7 that use the dx11, anyone confirm the 3d grass visible on win 7 with dx11?
I hope isn't this the problem, because I don't want use the 10 for games.
I hope do not use the "last way" to merge 17 in the win 10 partition.
Anyway now I'll try out nvidia panel setup.

fifa 17 requires dx11 bro, not dx12. i dont think its about OS or directx.
i didnt thouch the lua file that you mentioned.

Hello bro. No isn't possible write data into roster file generated by the fifa game.
Rinaldo discovered the way to decrypt, read and extract data tables, big works at all.
Anyway is possible (for old fifa I've used this trick) for example you can create a player with the internal game player creator, now you can adjust accessory and all attributes, etc, now you can save rosters in game, now you can open the roster file generated with your edits included in, extract related tables, open in excel and paste value into the main table and import back into base main game db with db master for add my player to the main db.
Anyway before db editing, is possible to load a roster file created by an expert like you with the internal game db editor. So the user share the roster to load in other fifa games. Same game version, same rosters base database loaded into host pc (the creator) and users. Or for example you can adjust all teams tactics and share with users.

I think is possible to edit this value, so you can use for example 75 max overall, I think this is possible to create this mod.
