I like the fact that they reshuffled the deck. I hooe the days of vying for power are behind us and now it's about the 3 factions going at it.

Cersei doesn't have a faction, Cersei has the Red Keep. She's going to be our Lady Jane Grey of the story.

The stuff in the North was pretty surprising to me. Sansa can't be happy about Jon being the new King in the North, and honestly I thought Jon was going to step in and decline the title before it got out of hand.

Reading between the lines: let's see Dany has the Iron Islands, Dorne, the Reach, while the North, Riverlands, and Vale are in open rebellion towards the crown. So Dany has to marry someone to consolidate her power... hmmm... Iron Islands, Dorne, and the Reach are all led by women... the Vale has a retarded boy for a leader, and the Riverlands are just fucked... who could Dany possibly marry.

Odd that Targaryans have a history of marrying relatives too, if only there was a powerful Targaryan in Westeros leading one of those geographic areas. Until that Wall comes down, it's going to be a victory lap for Dany and the Starks.

Also, I'm pretty certain that Arya will end up killing The Mountain and then finally the last person on her kill list.

What do you think Euron will do? I'm sure Dany will decline his marriage proposal. If he attacks her fleet I don't think the dothraki will last long.

Iron Islands aren't led by women. They're going to be attempted to be won back by a woman, but they're not yet led by one.

I think the dragons would make short work of it, but that's probably not how it will play out.

But Euron's dragon horn could make an appearance next season.

You think they would have mentioned that in the show at some point.

It could just be held off as an element of surprise for the TV version. Or it may not appear at all.

I think they often leave parts of the TV show out for a while, so that those who read the books think it's not going to happen, then they end up using it.

It's sad the tv version of Euron is so lame, the chapter leaked a few days ago shows what a monster he really is in the books, couldn't they at least have given him his crow's eye?

Has anyone watched Silicon Valley? I think it's the best comedy right now, but I'm probably biased because of the theme.

I really loved True Detective, it's probably my favorite show ever, very close competing with Breaking Bad. I really never was in in the mood for season 2 after such bad criticism. The last two seasons of Silicon Valley are better than the first, mainly because of the Richard-Bachman relationship, Jobs-Wozniak-esque. Bachman's Mona Lisa speech was pure joy.

True Detective season one is untouchable.

Finished all of Penny Dreadful and Vikings. PD end was awful but enjoyed the rest. Vikings is epic.

I thought the relationship between Woody and Matthew was contrived at first, which taints their dynamic throughout the show. Also the ending was very unsatisfying. I really didn't get a proper feel for the villain. In fact, there were too many 'bad guys' who didn't get enough character development.

The show was enjoyable but I feel like it was the exact opposite of Breaking Bad, which took its time to build up the stakes and develop the characters.
I enjoy but haven't been fully hooked on either. I finished Breaking Bad, and certainly enjoyed it, but felt it hard to really empathise with any of the characters, which made me enjoy it less.

True Detective I enjoy but I'm not sure why I just haven't been hooked enough to really watch the whole thing yet.

Just saw episode 6. This season has been so good.

I am concerned though, GoT has never served the fans, and this series everything the fans have wanted is slowly coming together.

Episode 7 and Season 8 could have some big surprises.
