Ok, I've tried asking everywhere & no-one knows how. Is it because the blender importer script isn't adapted to anything earlier than FIFA14?

I don't really know. Blender is not really used when converting faces. But I remember that a FIFA 13 face conversion was a little "buggy" even when converted to FIFA 14
