Sounds great. I've been working on my own 1987-88 db for career mode and would love to be able to change the date.

Please could you list the the things you modified?

All dates in cmsetting.txt and settings.txt and then which bit of the meta file do we need to edit?

Figured it out. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Jimboni66 Hope you continue work on your 1992/93 mod.

If anyone else is looking to change the career start date - this seems to work:- So aside from changing the dates in cmsetting.txt and setting.txt you also need to open "fifa_ng_db-meta.xml" (I used editpad lite) search through for all the career mode entries which feature "rangehigh="20601231" rangelow="20080101" and then change the rangelow value to be lower than your start date. e.g. for my 1987-88 season start I entered 19790101.
Not sure if you really need to change every single one but I did just for luck and simming through half a season for a test seemed fine.

If I've got any of this wrong feel free to correct me, I've not edited much of DLC folder stuff before.

for my 1988/89 season I entered rangelow = 19880101 for all the values and I had to change the calendar of the Colombian and Argentine leagues because otherwise the game freezes


also i replaced the a-league, the k-league and the mexican league with european leagues and i added brazilian league

i rewrited champions cup, euro league, copa america, copa libertadores and copa sudamericana and added cup winner's cup how 1989 real season but i'm not able to modify world cup with 24 teams and UEFA euro with 8 teams because the game crashes to windows

i created all 1988/89 serie a , with players, real ages, real loans, real contracts lenght..

and 1988/89 real calendar, but the game don't read it.. can you help me please?

what exactly does not work? Just the calendar?

just the calendar, the career works fine with all new tournaments (copa america, copa libertadores, supercopa sudamericana, recopa sudamericana, toyota cup, world cup asian qualifiers with the new teams, uefa euro with 8 teams, serie a with 18 teams e serie b with 20 teams and 4 promotions and 4 relegations, fifa world cup with 24 teams)

with the primera division calendar (argentina) i had no problems (20 teams, 2 legs instead 30 teams and 1 leg)..

i see that you created c31_s1_1992.txt, so i created c31_s1_1988.txt but the game doesn't read it

i repleceade c31_s1_2015.txt with the new dates but it's the same thing..

Did you also enter the "schedule_year_real, 1988" in the settings under "asset_id, 31"?

And I'm already having difficulties in getting my career started in 2020 ... I changed cmsettings, tried the idea of rangelow and rangehigh ... it didn't work at all.

it works!!!!!!

i must change the dates because serie a 1988/89 started on 09 october and finished 25 june (too late for fifa career) but every single round and all the matches are perfect!!!!!!!!!!

BayArena in FIFA 10 is not the one which was in 92.. i am working on this.

i'm sorry... my knowledge on german stadiums or old stadiums in general is very poor... in the 90's i was young and now my memory is not good...

I recreated the champions league, uefa cup and cup winners cup tournaments but I have a big problem: if a team wins both the championship and the national cup the following year it plays both the champions league and the cup winners cup .. if a team wins both the Champions League and the Cup Winners Cup, the European supercup stops working..

We have no solution for this problem. I integrated the national cup winners into the UEFA Cup.

the problem is: the compdata file structur only can take one cup in mind . there is a line in the - i guess it was settings.ini - where you can set the order of the cups in priority. but you can just set an order for 2 cups..not for three...

i understand, in every case the manual edit of these file (settings, compbj, etc.. ) is too hard for me.. at the moment i have found a small solutions for euro supercup, now if the same team wins the champions cup and the cup winners cup, in the supercup the cup winners cup team is repleace from shakhtar donets.. with this system it works fine every career year..
