how do u change the captaincy with access??? i saw somewhere in the forums that someone saw in this thread(i tink) that the captaincy can be changed

No one to my knowledge has found correctly how to change a teams captain in access.
Sorry, it just hasnt been done yet.

Im pretty sure it is a value that doesnt excist in the Access database, but only the real dbi files.

If I enable a team's gk kit in access but don't have a file in the data folder will the game crash?

The reason I ask is I have updated many rosters but at the same time updated my game with gk kits i have downloaded.

I don't want to include these kits as they are not of my own creating and I can't remember where each one is from but I want to release the first set of rosters this weekend if possible

A guy wrote that spot-kick taker will be set as captain, if for any reason the default captain is not in the starting eleven. The problem is, I did just that to Juventus ( the captaincy changes after I edit things with Access ), first I get Davids to the bench and set del Piero as a spot-kick taker, it works. Then I did it to Roma, switching between Emerson and Totti. But with AC Milan, I put Rivaldo to the bench, then I set the spot kick taker to Maldini, unfortunately it didn`t work, I don`t know what`s wrong, but there`s some kind of relationship between captaincy and spot-kick taker.

Im pretty sure that the game will NOT crash. So you should be alright. However, the goallies kit I think will go very bright coloured, and will not be just a default EA goallie kit.

I dont think its the spot kick taker thing, but the other one that was suggested, ie. the player with the highest overall rating, when the true captain is out of the team. However, this doesnt help much, because we will often want the player EA has chosen as captain, still in the team. This makes it really impossible to choose your captain using Access ;)
I think the only way is to find the Captain value in the dbi files, and hex-edit ;) but we're still yet to do that, where is sylvain when u need him (Note: Chau fans, i mentioned Sylvain and not Chau, because Chau has signed an agreement with EA to not give information about the DB out. I didnt mention Ariel, because he is yet to make a true Database editor for FIFA ;))

But, I don`t know, I remember Maldini has an 90 overall skill, the ones that topped him is Nesta ( 91 ), Rivaldo ( 91 ) and Sheva ( 92 ), so I made them all in the bench, I even send R.Costa also since he has about 90. Then I made Roque Junior, Serginho, Tommason and Pirlo for the starting eleven. But instead to Maldini captaincy switches to Pirlo, then I quit the game and made the same changes but without Pirlo, now is Brocchi in the starting eleven. But still Maldini isn`t the captain, it`s Tommason now, but he only got 83 overall ratings. Man, it really, reall piss me off, the Access editor is great, but installing it using EA crappy CC really mess up the game not to mention the lost saved games. Any news from Ariel ? He is working out a way to install it without using CC right and erase saved games right ?

the captain is the player with the lowest ID number in the starting eleven... i think that was psoted in a another thread

Nope, Pirlo`s ID is much higher than Maldini.

No he isnt. But when he first Created FEd (Fed 98 i THINK), NOONE could understand the dbi format properly. So Chau contacted EA, and they agreed to tell him how to edit it, to make an editor, BUT he had to sign an agreement, not to show anyone how to read the files ;)

I HAVE FINALLY MADE 2 TEAMS WITH ACCESS AEK ATHENS AND PANATHINAIKOS WITH ID 0278 & 0279 .ALTHOUGH I PUT TEAM_T078 &TEAM_T00279 CORECTLY IN THE GAME I ONLY SAW THE AEK LOGO THAT ORIGINALLY EXISTED IN THE TEAMS.ABG.INSTEADOF THE PAO LOGO I HAVE THE REAL MADRIT'S?I CHOOSE THESE ID S BECAUSE THIS ORIGINALY EXISTED IN FIFA2000. ANY CLUE ???? I HAVE ALSO PUT THESE TEAMS IN THE REST OF THE WORLD BUT I COULD NOT SEE THE LOGOS IN THE START AND THE TEAM KITS BEFORE I STARTED A GAME?????
