Personally, I voted Mendieta. I find him a much better team player, he gets forward a bit more and is still rock-solid. Also, his discipline is a bit better!!!

Good to see Mendieta catching up on Vieira a bit. They are both so rediculously expensive in CM are they not?

i have not bought either of them so dont know about that i usually play challenges like WBA or Athletico de Madrid so i wouldnt know

I can't usually afford them when I play for even the best clubs. I sometimes start with Lazio and get experience of Mendieta that way and I have brought Vieira from time to time.
