United Mexican States v Estados Unidos de América [P|R]

No wonder donovan looked so slow on that second goal we gave up, that dude was by himself six-8 feet from goal. I'm worried for donovan now.

    North American Soccer 2009

Perhaps this is why they don't want a relegation system in the MLS... more then half the top division would get relegated in 2-3 years.

    North American Soccer 2009

Yeah i'm in a "i'd love to love MLS" but i just need a reason. Perhaps a team in cleveland will do that but it's hard to imagine us getting one. If we did get one though i'd be talking smack and watching every game even if we were as bad as newcastle (Y)

    North American Soccer 2009

Yeah players in the EPL have some huge wages, that's the game of football right now. Do you think they pay lionel messi peanuts in barcelona? Or perhaps kaka played for some toilet paper while at milan. It only has that "amateur feel" because it's been around for a short time compared to the...

    North American Soccer 2009

The reason i've never liked MLS (i live in cleveland) is that I dont see the teams as individuals... i see the whole league as one giant team that's crazed about keeping the bottom line ($) in order. Everything else is secondary. If they don't want to show passion about the game, why should i...

    Whatever happened to Freddy Adu

chilling on the bench in europe doesn't make you a better player.

    Whatever happened to Freddy Adu

Honestly i think adu needs to come back to MLS for a year or two. No one over there will give him playing time consistently, and that's something that he desperately needs. He's not as good as he thinks he is, so all his time is spent sitting on the benfica bench thinking man... i'm better then...

    Whatever happened to Freddy Adu

honestly rodgers gifted adu that goal... he hasn't done a THING except lose balls and blast them a mile over goal

ESPN Acquires La Liga and Premier League Packages

Does this mean that fans in the US will be able to watch some EPL and la liga matches on regular ESPN or ESPN2 channels? I never signed up for setanta and dont have espn deportes

    USA National Team Thread

I can't blame rossi, would i rather be coached by lippi or bob bradley. Would i play on a world champ or a team who can't seem to beat anyone outside of an island country?

    2009 FIFA Confederations Cup [P+R]

Even if we lose to egypt, gulati is not exactly a smart man. He'll get another no name mls coach to preach sprints in practice instead of imagination.

I'm so tired of seeing bornstein, beasley and feilhaber in the US kit.... it makes me sick almost.

    2009 FIFA Confederations Cup [P+R]

Plus, if i never saw brian ching, demarcus beasely, or bornstein again on the field i wouldn't shed any tears. Not only do they not contribute, but they actually help the other team. Btw what happened to adu for the US team? The kid has some creativity at least...

    2009 FIFA Confederations Cup [P+R]

We have zero firepower and dont practice skill on the ball. It's all fitness drills and zero creativity. Yeah our guys can run around the field all day but when the oppurtunity presents itself we get scared out of our minds. This really even isn't about bob bradley... it's about how us soccer is...

WCQ: Costa Rica - USA [R]

All we do in the US is train our players to be in top physical shape, but limit the creativity to nearly nothing. I remember freddy adu talking about going through an american academy and saying that other players played as if they had a US "how to play" manual in front of them at all times...
