Has Uruguay become (again) the most hated team in world football?

Honestly mate, they love it even more because of that. This article is incredible. It details the differences between: English football morality vs. South American/ Italian football morality http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/29/luiz-suarez-cannibal-tabloids-aldo-mazzucchelli

Has Uruguay become (again) the most hated team in world football?

lol you got me there mate. What Mexico did this WC surpasses 100 years of Scottish history. And this was one of their weaker sides too.

Has Uruguay become (again) the most hated team in world football?

It's irrelevant, because...honestly, the vast majority of people I've ever interacted with (along with national polls, and nearly any thread talking about it today) view that as a positive thing. (unless you're Ghanaian or English lol!) :wootman: We're talking about this negative one. In South...

Has Uruguay become (again) the most hated team in world football?

The handball is irrelevant. Except for the vocal minority + Ghana fans. The issue is this incident with the Italian player.

Has Uruguay become (again) the most hated team in world football?

Their horrid 1986 performance destroyed this tiny football nation's reputation for over a decade. And now, again. I feel that they crossed the line this time. Defending Suarez like they did was out of hand. And he should apologize. I'm a big admirer of their style and history. But for me, they...

    New Kits 2013/2014

PUMA just revealed Uruguay's home and away kits for the 2014 WC. The away one is very nice (classy). The home one is just beautiful. I've always loved Uruguay's sky blue + black shorts/socks combo. And on top of that this one makes you look like you have a 6-pack lol!

FIFA forcing all World Cup Kits to be the same colour or shading.

Absolutely. As a person who's close to Argentinian football, I can tell you that most people despise Argentina with white shorts. - Black shorts and socks: define Germany's kit as much as the white does. - Black shorts and socks: define Argentina's kit as much as the white/sky blue does. -...

FIFA forcing all World Cup Kits to be the same colour or shading.

This just seems borderline blasphemous. The most iconic kits of all time are iconic precisely because of the beautiful contrast of colours: Italy, Germany, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, England, Spain, etc...

    The Lionel Messi is a c u n t thread

No offense man. But either you're 12, or you're pretty clever at trying to get others to jump to your cause. Your message was clearly designed to be emotionally provocative. It's so black/white and simplistic that it's laughable. You're just pandering the lowest common denominator. IE: People...

    The Lionel Messi is a c u n t thread

The OP is very cleverly designed to arouse strong emotions (which overrides reason) and basically create a cartoon-villain/inhuman image of Leo Messi for the readers to vent their outrage. I try to keep a cool head when reading anything of this caliber. HOWEVER, Messi was dead to me the second...

    New Kits 2012/2013

The Liverpool v. Man Utd arguments on this thread are really off topic. BTW, here are some of the new FIFA 2013 Confederations Cup jerseys that have been recently released. Very excited for this tournament. -------------- -------------- Italy: Very very cool. Very modern twist on their classic...

    Copa América 2011

hahahahahaha, the bitterness here is hilarious hahahahaHAHAHAHAHA!! :D :D :D Just saw this hilarious posts on a forum, says it all: "Does Anyone Else Hate Uruguay? HOW DO THEY DO IT?! I'm so angry that my country (Scotland, which is about 2x bigger than Uruguay) can't even qualify past 1 group...

    Copa América 2011

Pay no attention to him mate. His incoherent ramblings against Uruguay make as much sense as belittling the histories of the Montreal Canadiens, Boston Red Sox, LA Lakers. There has to be a point where stupidity is just interpreted as something else. It's called envy.

    Copa América 2011

Oh, there's the 1980 FIFA World Cup Champions Cup that Uruguay won by beating Brazil 2-1 in the final http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8XMX91ZKLU It's officially recognized and also known as the predecessor for the Confederations cup. 19 +1 = 20 There's only one King of Cups :bob:

Trophy Cases of the most famous Football Nations (History for newbies)

Hmm, know what you mean. The thing about loving a team or national team that is or (in my case) isn't my own, is that usually "pride" or ....any form of expression is generally unfounded. But it's impossible to explain to someone who's won nothing what it means to have a truck load of...

Trophy Cases of the most famous Football Nations (History for newbies)

lol, yeah. I pretty much took all the info from the official site and put them in picture form. So, I guess I could have just posted it in written form from the site, but that wouldn't have looked as cool. (Y) hahaha

Trophy Cases of the most famous Football Nations (History for newbies)

Yeah I know. I had to somehow reword it to fit the other 2 world titles. :) Can't forget about those 2 "olympics". Until 1966, they were the 2 most complete and biggest football tournaments of all time.
