OK, win the European Cup with Holland. You can do it on 1-star level with 5 minute games if you just want to get it over and done with! Then do it again with Germany.
That unlocks Classic Netherlands and Classic Germany. The squad of Holland seems to be split between the 1974 team and the 1988 team - the Germans have a few different players mixed in.
Go to Edit Mode, then go to that site I linked on the thread "Compare this match with reality" or go to the World Cup Archive (www.worldcuparchive.com), which an amazing site, and correct spellings, shirt numbers etc. and if necessary create/modify a couple of players, or just change their names, until you have the two 11s just right. That only takes 5 minutes. Personally, I went into player edit and gave Wim Jansen his horrible hair!!
Set up the Dutch team. 4-3-3. THEN, this is the important bit. TOTAL FOOTBALL!
Set Jongblod the goalie's arrow to attacking, and remember to bring him out whenever a hole opens in your defensive line.
Suurbier and Krol as fullbacks, no attacking arrow. Haan and Rijsbergen as centre backs, with Haan set as a Libero with an attacking arrow.
Midfield: choose the flat 3-man midfield, pull Neeskens back in the middle and set him with a defensive arrow, but DON'T change his position from CH to DH. Give Van Hanegem on the wing an attacking arrow and pull him infield. Jansen on the other side can make do without an arrow.
Front 3: Rep on the right, with his position changed from RW to CF, pulled infield, with an attacking arrow, forwards and to the left. Rensenbrink on the left, also changed to CF, with his arrow pointing to the right. And Cruijff in the centre, withdrawn back, with his arrow set to attack forwards and to the left.
Strategy (VERY IMPORTANT) - Auto 1: Centre attack. Auto 2: CB Overlap. Auto 3: Opposite side attack. L2: Change side.
Then set up the German team, 4-3-3. Make sure Beckenbauer is set as a Libero, and that Vogts is set to Man-Mark Cruijff aggressively.
Play in the Munich stadium, daytime, Winter/Clear. Your Dutchmen SHOULD play The Whirl, only falling into their normal position when the game slows down for a while. See if you can kick off, pass the ball around for a minute or two then win a penalty!
