Right. Now I picked him I can say it. Why are we being linked with Pedro for 30m but not Shaqiri for probably half that? Shaq is the perfect Mou winger and the only issue I see is him not wanting to fight Willian for a starting spot. Pedro could work at Chelsea, however I see absolutely no reason why we should be paying any more than 10m for him considering they obviously don't want him. I don't really see the point in signing shaqiri, it would be like victor Moses or mo Salah, he just would not ever play
I dunno, Shaqiri is much better than either of those players (perhaps not Salah but that guy doean't defend). As a 4th attacker he would be perfect and could potentially make the right his own. Has the right profile. This is of course assuming, as I do, that his play pre-Bayern and under Heynckes can be recovered and improved upon. He didn't fit Pep's game model and don't think he fit in Italy either. I do think he could explode in the Prem and has enough resale potential that I'd take the gamble he hasn't just regressed for 10-15m.

I didn't watch, but he was apparently used mostly in centre midfield. Also, Serie A is a slower league that players a more congested, tactical game. That is not the sort of game Shaqiri thrives in.
Also dunno why you say that about Serie A. Who are some star wingers who exploded there or who were brought up there? Who was the last great Italian winger? Candreva? Cerci? Camoranesi? Perrotta? Those last two are the wingers Italy won the WC with (both of whom were subbed for am ST and a DM in the final). And if I recall correctly Italy reached the 2012 Euro finals with a 3-5-2. I really don't know where you're getting that wingers do well there.
