Same process. You know the drill.

Please vote for the 2 teams you believe would finish at the top of the Group. 3 will advance, but please just vote for 2. If you only vote for 1 or 3+ your votes will not count. Voting will close in 72ish hours (midnight my time). If you vote in the poll you are also allowed to post a vote for a 3rd team (do not vote for 3 in the poll, put this 3rd team in a post and clearly mark that it is for a tie breaker or 3rd place). In case the 3rd place tie breaker votes don't break the tie, I will start removing votes (not tie breaking votes) based on lowest post count first. However I will remove non-participating members' votes before removing the vote of anyone who participated in the draft.

Again, a very tough group. Again, fuck group B.

Hitmen, other than Walcott, have an excellent midfield and attack. Considering that no one can have an entirely worldclass team though, Walcott is fine. The defense is weak, but then again, many defenses are (but this one is probably among the weakest).

'Murica is also very good, the double pivot are both excellent but I feel that overall they lack a bit of steel. I have no idea why Welbeck is on for Draxler, especially since Muller will do anything Welbeck does much, much better anyway, and Draxler's playmaking ability would combine much better with Shaqiri's direct running and Muller's overall awesomeness. Defense is nothing to write home about either.

I feel the (H)'s are the worst in the group, quite easily, too. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, but its overall level is worse than most of the teams in the competition, I feel. Normally teams have 3-4 worldclass (although I'm looser with the term than I am when I discuss the best players per position) players in the squad, but here, other than Neymar, I can't see anyone who is there. I'm also one of those who isn't that fond of Neymar, so overall the team seems weak to me. The midfield is good, but again, it is the worst midfield in the group, maybe barring the Pitches.

FC Urban is probably the best team in the competition, and I don't even like 3-man defenses.

The Sons are solid, barring the leftback position there is no major weakness.

So, FC Urban get my vote. 'Murica edge out Hitmen by a fraction, and the Hitmen get my tiebreaker.

Overall, the level of the competition here is quite high. 3 of the 4 groups made it quite hard to choose, certainly harder than last year.

EDIT: My standards seem to be completely different to everyone else's. I can't believe Massive and Nady's teams are doing so well, whereas kp and Shifty are languishing back there. I get the feeling that this year there the balance between Mediterranean-centric voters (Serie A, La Liga, Liga Sagres lovers) vs the Anglo-Saxon voters (Bundesliga, Prem) is tilted much more towards the former.

Names don't win games. I believe it's preferable to have a solid formation composed by competent players for every position, than to have 4-5 big names in it and the rest of the players being average/weak, which is in my opinion the case of many teams in this competition.

I don't think that's true. Most teams have a good level overall only most also have worldclass players on top of it.

My tiebreaker vote goes to Team Murica. I was close to voting as second choice but I can't get over Welbeck starting over Draxler. Draxler is just a lot better than Welbeck. Otherwise it's a very solid squad.

I would have preferred Michu, Nasri or Moses, too. Welbeck is good, but doesn't really add anything to that squad.

Welbeck is underrated and Draxler is overrated. Which one has played in more meaningful games? Which one has succeeded in highly meaningful games? Which one is an established international for his country? Which one tracks back and works his ass off for 90 minutes? Draxler is a better dribbler and more creative, but that's not what I wanted on my left wing.

Yes Welbeck is very hard working. If he is not scoring, he is always doing something else. He is inconsistent in doing what he is expected to do as a striker though.

That was close. If Hitmans got 1 more vote, I would have been out because he got some tie-breakers. I didnt have any.

I wanted to vote in the end, but the deciding got tough. And i'm no good at explaining my votes, if that is needed. But i think it should be.
