Am I the only one who thinks Pirlo is (and has been) totally overrated for the most part of his career?.

You're the only one who thinks he was overrated for most of his career, but he had that 1-2 season Renaissance when he moved to juve and people thought it would never end, whenof course it could only be temporary due to his age. Just because everyone who thought he was past it when he finished up his Milan career were proved wrong means people are scared to declare him past it now, but no one can go one forever.

I agree. He's been a liability all season this one though

Too bad that Juve lost.. I somehow missed the second half because of passing out and waking up just when Barca were done celebrating despite the cocaine.

But that's that and I think Roberto Pererya should've started instead of Pirlo, with Marchisio in Pirlo role. But I guess you couldn't have benched a legend in this kind of match. Well Barca did in case of Xavi and it worked out perfectly well. Anyway congrats to Barca fans, and that's that.

Your post would have looked so much better like this.

Great game to be fair. Should have ended 2-1 though.

Things started looking good when we equalized but that Barca counter with the rebound back to Iniesta (I think) and Messi's deflected shot was just bad luck and Suarez punished us.

Chiellini was missed, as technically limited as he is. Barzagli and Bonucci just can't work together for some reason.

Our midfield underperforming, apart from Marchisio, didn't help either. It's usually our biggest strength. Look what an in-form Vidal did to Madrid.

Tevez looked out of it too, he's usually a big game player.

Still more than proud of the guys. Heroes.

The Von Trapps
there was a moment when Pogba rose for a header, with the score at 1-1, that a glimmer of an upset appeared, and the cup was there for the taking ... but he didn't rise to the occasion, and the chance -- fleeting as it was -- was lost ...

Was the final boring?

It was good but not a classic. Barca dominated but at no point did they kill it and, when juve equalised after Barca missed like their 10th great chance, there was a short period where the impossible seemed possible. For a CL final it was pretty open and pretty good.

I will also congratulate Barca, I will never like you but I respect this team and style so much more than the dull, stifling football you were playing last time you won the treble.

The Champions League final is always a great game, the only boring one i remember was Milan-Juve 2003.

The goals were great but other than that I found it boring. Maybe because I was not cheering for neither team. I didn't really care much who won.
