You have no idea how much there is flame war on AOE forums over renaming Slavs to Rus'. Some think that there should be more than one Indian or Teuton civ if Slavs one can be "split". Others are upset that it will be Rus' with "Ukrainian" references and doesn't take in Duchies of Moscow, Novgorod or Pskov (but this is stupid because really it's not modern-day Russia or Ukraine, it's old Kievan Rus state).Woah someone else playing AoE 2 <3

Back on topic, the mod looks awesome as always, great job!
For me, I think renaming Slavs to Rus' is actually best solution. It's more accurate for what the civ is representing with Boyar unique unit for Kievan Rus'. Rus' are referenced in 3+ campaigns (Genghis Khan, Kotyan Khan (Cumans/Polovtsy) & Tamerlane, plus will definitely be in upcoming August Lithuanians & Poles campaigns) and all the iconography for the civilization (shield and UI motif) is all Kievan Rus'.
Another thing, there is a hidden unit for Alexander Nevsky who is a cavalry hero! I wonder if maybe there will be future DLCs to add his campaign? It's very similar to theme of Dawn of the Dukes (all the protagonists fighting Teutons!) and I was wondering if they would add him, but they went with Lithuanian campaign instead (TBH, they needed one!) + one each for the new Poles & Bohemians civs.
We could totally organize a SG clan! xD
@V.K. If you can test Russian team (plus any others you want!) when patch will be posted on FI website, to see if there are any missing/blank generic hairs or faces, that will be great! I'm pretty sure that I went over all newly added players for all the UEFA NTs, but just in case I missed someone...

I know right! The way I remember it, the second Slavs were introduced in the game, Slavic players from various modern day countries started the holywars over who should be represented the most
Now that we have Bulgarians, Poles, Bohemians/Czechs all having their own civs, I too think Rus would be appropriate. Although I've been saying for years that now the Slavs/Rus should get Orthodox/Eastern Slavic architecture rather than the Catholic/Western style (also shared by Magyars and partially Teutons) now more appropriate for Poles/Czechs:
This barely resembles the Rus acrhitecture
Something like the original FE architecture would be more fitting
Although not ideal, still something that looks more like the actual Ancient Rus architecture
I remember I even modded AoE 2 HD back in the day to replace the wonder with St Basil's Cathedral exported from Rise of Nations

I couldn't figure out the meaning of the word wow but since robbieD likes it, I guess it's not a positive thing. However, I expected an explanation as to why the patch was ready 3 days ago but still not released. I deleted nba2k21 on PC on Friday evening, there is no room and in case I play with this patch over the weekend. But I could not play neither the nba nor this game. Anyway, I am not loved in this forum because I am both hasty and questioning.
