2021 International Tournaments Patch (UEFA EURO 2020 & Copa America 2021)

I've started updating the UEFA DNQ national teams in Excel starting with national teams beginning with A & B...

I will start the UEFA playoffs DNQ after those matches are completed (except Ukraine who will play their matches in June).

I will leave the already Qualified teams until later: since these teams will have finalists rosters & the squad sizes haven't been announced by FIFA (23, 26 or maybe even 28 players?). If there's a DLC for FIFA 23, we can always take the resources from that (+ update Qatar?).

I am also still weighing up whether to have Russia in the patch. They have been removed for obvious reasons, but they still did take part in the qualification groups & having one team less may cause problems for ranking UEFA playoffs. If they do remain, I would update their player rosters up to their last matches in November 2021. I have already looked at players from neighbouring countries' ethnicities (Armenians, Georgians & Ilzat Akhmetov was born in Kyrgyzstan) to see if maybe some players might be able to switch to another NT. There could be a similar dispensation made by FIFA to switch NTs, like with foreigners being able to break their contracts.

Hey boss, thanks for all you work... I think Russia should be part of your project for the reasons you mentioned before, just my opinion... thanks!!

I also think Russia should be left in the mod, mainly because it is a video game, and not everything in it should be like in real life. I do think that perhaps they should not be included in the WC qualifiers tournament, but still be available in the game (in kick-off mode and custom tournaments).

I've now updated Cyprus & Estonia rosters in Excel. I am thinking it would also be good to see which newly added players (national teams too?) will come with FIFA23. Thus far, the only thing that I've found online is that there will be 4 womens leagues: USA, England, France & Germany.

I think that Russia should be part of this project.
And they must play the WCQ.
Even I think that Russia and Belarus should have their official symbols, flags, shirts, stadiums and anthems.
This is just a game.

The thing is that I don't think that Russia will have any 2022 shirts... They won't be able to play any official games & no Western company will want the contract to supply their national teams.

I am leaning towards keeping Russia in the patch, however. Both Russia & Belarus will have still their national stadiums like for EURO patch (even if Luzhniki was the stage for that shameful rally this week...).

No it will update all confederations. I'm just doing UEFA first since I've had the most recent experience with them and the EURO patch. I'm also cutting UEFA rosters from 26 to 23 players, so this is another thing that I have to adjust. I'm skipping the 10 already qualified UEFA teams for now; since they will have final tournament squads. Then after those 2 will be CONMEBOL DNQ, then afterwards the other 4 confederations: AFC, CAF, CONCACAF & OFC.

About those 4 confederations: There are no CAF teams in FIFA22, but it looks like the 3 North American teams in that game will qualify directly. AFC has only China & Australia, but there are unique numbers for South Korea NTs. The only OFC team in FIFA22 is New Zealand.

So you are just going over the teams that are in FIFA 22 when it comes to AFC, CAF, CONCACAF and OFC?
I will keep making my own updates and posting them here for anyone interested. I'll just make some more 26-man squads for a few teams from all the confederations. I hope there will be more kit updates from kitmakers. So far, I've managed to find everything I need except for Nigeria.
As for the Russia question, I think that what definitely should be removed is the Russian song from the soundtrack, as it is performed by traitor Polina Gagarina who was one of the clowns who took part at the event in Luzhniki.

Since Russia won't qualify, they won't have a song in the 2022 soundtrack.

For the other confederations, I will take the most recently available players. If they appear in a DLC I will prioritize those players/formations. I also said I will see if FIFA23 will add more players/national teams in the base game.

Yeah, I understand the new patch won't be a major one. Will there be kit updates for not European and South American teams?

Actually, it will be a major one since all teams, from all confederations will be updated - including kits. ;)
