But I don't think that I will have time to update all national teams, so I will do only the finalists + UEFA & CONMEBOL + China PR & New Zealand (they have the diamond flags in FIFA23 also). This can be resolved by copying all entries from the playernames table with IDs of 29000 and higher to the dcplayernames table.
I've actually thought of a possible workaround. The reason why I can't just add more names to dcplayernames table is because some of the new players have relevant commentary names which still have their codes in FIFA16.
If it's not too late, I can extend your database. This way you will be able to add more names. I will do this on the base game and all your tables would be imported into this extended database. I think it will work, I just need your current database. If that doesn't work, you will continue with your idea of removing free players.

BTW, @scouser09 helped me with expanding the stadiums table (doubled from 512 to 1024 rows). So if you do this operation, I hope that you can keep that table expanded also!
