Back when I was on a team with about 9 players worthy of actually playing, we put the worst guy as a forward because "he can do the least damage up there". Midfield, ESPECIALLY in the 4-3-3, is where you want your best players. You'll probably be playing more toward the middle because the attacking wing forwards will be wide up front, and you'll have to be a playmaker, defender, and run all over the field (not to the left though). Honestly, just accept it, at least you're playing. I sat on my JV bench for an entire year as a junior behind a freshman because "you don't bring up freshmen to sit them on the bench" even though I was comically better than him. Like, we would be getting dominated in the midfield, and then I would go in (center mid in a 4-3-3, probably the most important position in any formation, you have to be the attacking and defensive mid) and would just DOMINATE because I was too good for JV at that point. Just so you don't think I sucked or anything, next year I started for my Varsity team at right mid and we were one win from going to State; and we probably would have won the state title if the coach played the better keeper in that game.
