Actually it shouldn't be as hard to go by bike, you can cross 't IJ by bridge. Depending on where you wish to be in the city you can also take the ferry, which sets you off near Amsterdam CS.

The 1st training of Ajax was on De Toekomst today, I was there. The fans were great, the weather was also great wich I didn't expect.

Yeah the training started and if it's up to Ajax Wesley is staying next season as well, Jaap Stam said today that he MUST stay to play a very important role this season cause 'we want to become champions this time, it's my last year here and I want that to happen' (Stam)
van Geel thinks he will stay and our coach HtC said that he is expecting Wesley to give it his best cause if he plays better, ManUtd, Real Madrid and Barca will be waiting at the end of next season. Stories about an unmotivated Sneijder is not at all true according to HtC, he stays with Ajax and will do everything in his power to get prizes next season.

I really really really hope Wesley stays but I think there is a big chance of that

I'm telling you, if only one big gun comes with an offer of 20 million+, Van Geel will accept it and Wes will go. Also it remains to be seen wheter Wesley, himself, will be happy to stay when so many big clubs are intrested in him.

Ome Henk also announced he wants to buy another striker as some sort of 'breekijzer' in difficult situations. He says Ajax already knows who they want for this position, I'm curious...
At the moment I heard this the one person that came to mind was Patrick Kluivert. Don't know why.

I don't think Ajax will offer Kluivert a new contract. Van Geel already said that Kluivert wasn't good enough anymore for Ajax.

Liverpool in bid for Ajax ace

Liverpool have made an offer for Ryan Babel, according to the Ajax forward's agent.

The youngster impressed for Holland at the recent European Under 21 Championship and has been strongly linked with Arsenal.

Babel has admitted he envisages playing for the Gunners at some stage in his career, but cast doubt on a summer move to Emirates Stadium.

However, he could now have the option of a transfer to Liverpool after Babel's agent Winnie Haatrecht revealed the UEFA Champions League finalists' interest.

"I won't say anything about the amounts currently mentioned, however I can confirm Ajax have received an official bid from Liverpool," Haatrecht told Dutch magazine Sportweek.

"Ryan has not spoken with the club.

"Only if Ajax tell us they have an agreement, and state we can talk, will phase two begin.

"In that phase you will look at what Liverpool want, what their plans are with Babel.

"After that, the financial part will come, but it's not that far.

"First, we have to wait for both clubs to get a deal."

The offer is 10M Euro
Tie a ribbon around the man and ship him off to Liverpool as far as I'm concerned and if we play our cards right we could even get 12M.
With that money and the money for de Mul we can get Afonso Alves

EDIT: It seems that Liverpool made a bid more closer to 20M!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ajax is seriously considering it and has told the media today that there is a big chance that Babel is going to Pool.
The man himself is enjoying his vacation in Suriname and already said that he really wants to go to Liverpool so byebye Ryan

Agreement? What are your sources Martijn? I read about the interest, but I don't know if it's true. One thing is for sure they're interested in Suarez of FC Groningen. I hope they will buy him instead of Nilsson, but we'll see.

Yeah but it always depends what Ajax will choose, Sneijder and Huntelaar or the money. They don't want to lose them now, so I don't think they'll leave Ajax this summer.

Huntelaar told Martin v Geel yesterday that he wants to remain with Ajax for at least 1 or 2 seasons more.
Sneijder said that if he's still with Ajax after august 14, he'll stay also because he wants the start to be good with the CL Prerounds.

Luis Suárez steps to the arbitration committee to enforce a transfer to Ajax. His club, FC Groningen, doesn't cooperate to start the negotiations with Ajax. Suarez will earn 3 or 4 times more as he earns now at FC Groningen. Because of the financial improvements and the sportive improvements the chance is big he will win the case and moves to Ajax.
