Portuguese - Receive two covered wagons, which can transform into Town Centers. Can play Figo on the left wing.

Finally, we're in a computer game! :bob:

Covered wagons, what the hell do they mean by that? :|

The Conquerors was amazing. AOM was OK to start with but I got bored of it quickly. I hope this game focuses more on millitary strategy. So much of the game in the past was how fast you can move the mouse and use hotkeys. I also think they should automate the economy more. Villagers used to be so damn stupid, and it's just been boring and time consuming making sure they are not standing around doing nothing.

British - This nation begins with more villagers.

Dutch - Have less villagers, but can build a bank to gather more coin (resource which replaces gold)

French - Have special unit, courier, who is a powerful villager. Can also ally with Native Americans more easily.

Germans - Can receive mercenaries without researching a technology. Town Center can generate unique units.

Portuguese - Receive two covered wagons, which can transform into Town Centers.

Spanish - Receives special bonuses from the Home City.

Dunno if this is already common info, but it was new to me anyway..

Ottoman, Russian and Native American :)

My sentiments exactly.
Spot on,

I think a merger of Rome: Total War and the regular Age of Empires format would be awesome. Stuff like morale of troops and a campaign map so you choose where you want to fight, planning defence and attack on a larger scale. Less of a directed campaign.

Man, first thing I noticed was the graphics... I got a radeon 9800 Pro and played AoE3 demo on max settings, but the gfx are nowhere near the quality of the screenshots we've seen here. About the game itself, just played a bit here and there, got destroyed by the english in just 15 minutes, but I usually suck at this type of games. I'll have to play it more to get the feel of the game.

I like the demo, the user interface is terrible though. Way too big, and important things like HP, attack and armor arent displayed. Good game though, although AoE II is still better IMO
