decided to dig this thread up for some all round nostalgia ...
Nike are going to release homage editions of World Cup boots seen at WCs from 1998 through 2010 ... I hope they're wide release, and not limited editions, because I want me a pair of indoor 02s!!

my kitbag is stocked for outdoor, turf, or indoor based on the season, so I'm inevitably replacing one pair or another ... I preferred umbros while in secondary school (when we started wearing boots), but since college it's been all vapors and preds, with one pair of tiempos thanks to R10 ...
I'd have been keen on a re-edition pair, but it looks like they're only doing them in standard black, which is a damn shame ... it's therefore surprising that the Predetor Accelarators from 1998 aren't part of the remakes, because they are, IMO, the only predators that looked good in the standard black/red/white scheme:

I wanted the original 2002 Chrome R9s so bad, but couldn't get a pair at the time ... I did eventually get a pair of the silver R9s he later wore, but it wasn't the same ... it makes sense for me to get a pair of the homage editions now (when I can), for the sake of childhood nostalgia ...nady;3627779 said:
