Amazing buy, the next Zidane in the making - Paulinho (21yrs)

Quite possibly my best find in CM 03/04, is Paulinho, a Brazilian midfielder. I noticed that everyone usually screams Freddy Adu, Diego, Adriano, Reyes, etc etc the same names over and over for hot prospect wonderkids, so I claim this find as mine!! ;)

I was nosing around other club's reserves, when I spotted this kid in Arsenal's Reserves, valued at 350K, listed at 300K. I remember a week ago when I sealed the deal for this guy I couldn't wait for the season to end, for June 8th when the transfer window would open. Today it finally did, and I gathered all my young buys together for a friendly against my veteran reserves team (which consisted of players I didn't need, Philip Neville, Diego Forlan, Djemba-Djemba, etc). I instantly discovered that, while I am still a CM newbie by far, that this buy was definitely not a newb-bid (pun intended ;) ). Just look at the two screenshots below!!!

As you can see, he is technically unimpressive, but look at those Mental stats! Whoah!! :rockman: THough I am still a newb, I know mental stats are the hardest to develop, and it comes naturally and not from intensive training. As I said earlier, I played a friendly against my reserves, and in the first half Solskjaer scored twice. Yawn. Second half I couldn't wait to bring out Paulinho to replace my own ACM Sky (which you've all seen in another thread). Whoa. I notice immediately on the 2d pitch how amazing he is. Truly reflecting his stats, he "flows" on the pitch, scored a beautiful volley and a great assist... and even captured the MoM! To be honest i'm a bit jealous this rookie is better than myself ;)

I *can't* wait to develop this guy and mold him into a world-class attacking midfielder/forward. I highly recommend Paulinho for your low division tight budget teams!

What does everyone else think! :hump:

Yeah, you need a good training schedule to develop him.

I prefer to buy at 20- years old too (H) John Welsh

He doesn't look that good, and his value only doubled:kader: Luckily for you you can traim young players quite easily on tactics:)

the technical stats this kid has is on the same level of a 18-19 year old. i think you need a lot of work with this guy since the tops development goes to is 25-26 i suggest next time you search for youth search for 17-18-19 year old first. and when you give first team exprience to a young player they develop much faster than a good training and sitting in reserves. i had this kid named sabri sarioglu who was 18 and by the time he was 20 he was playing 10.00 avarage in the first 15 games of the season including CL. and he was worth 40$mil only 20 years old.

In my CM4 game he never became anything except someone on my wage bill I was trying to get rid of, so don't be surprised if he doesn't turn out very good, he has had almost no mention (that I'm aware of) in real life.

yea i tend to agree but determination, teamwork, position and determination are all very very important skills to have for a player to be considered class in my opinion...

Damn you all :f***:

Mental stats are indeed very cool, he trains very fast and his techs are almost all double digits now :rockman: even though he isn't technically great on paper, somehow on the field he really does flow. Just wait till I develop him.
