Another year, another $50...

I see it coming. I promised myself I wouldn't do it, but I love football too much. You see I'm a HUGE PES/WE fan as some of you may know. I play PES4 religiously on my PC all year, except for a few weeks in the fall. I spend those few weeks(last year it was days) playing the latest Fifa. Fifa05 really disappointed me, ecspecially since I had such high hopes for it.

Nothing has changed this year. I actually have even higher hopes for Fifa this year. I really want it to succeed. I love how they reverted back to the old dead ball controls so you can actually pass instead of shoot from 40 yards. I also love the fact the it'll be on the XBox 360 around launch time. Plus a bunch of other little things that should improve the overall gameplay. Oh yeah, editing stats is finally back!

So in about a months time I'll be spending my $50 bucks hoping Fifa finally delivers. I don't expect Fifa06 to be as good as PES4. I just want it to be fun again.

I know, but it's a few months off and Fifa06 comes out next month. I just really hope Fifa06 is more entertaining this time around. I still remember a time when I enjoyed the Fifa series. I want that time to come back.

I feel the same way. I want this series to succeed and be fun again. I remember the last time I had fun with a Fifa was 2001. I believe that was the last FIFA I bought. After that, I would just borrow the Fifa's from friends. Then WE came around and I got hooked. And now that I found out that we will be able to edit the National Team Badges aswell in WE 9i, I cant wait. This year's FIFA so far is looking ok I guess. I have my fingers crossed and hope for it to be a success. I know gameplay wise, it won't be better than WE, but I want to buy a soccer game soon and WE 9i is too far away. C'mon FIFA, don't dissappoint another year.

Elo Ratings
I'll pay US$60 for the XBOX 360. Plus US$300 for the XBOX360 system and US $40 for Memory Card 64MB. A total of US$400 that I have to spend later & the State tax. I do expect alot improvement from this game.

Fifa2003 was the last decent one. This year looks very promising. Does anyone have a list of the new features?

Demo update:

We're still waiting on more news regarding the demo. We'd like to be able to tell you whether it will be out today or not but we don't have that information right now.

What we do know is that it has one final step to clear before it can be released, and that this step is being dealt with right now.

This last step is getting legal signoff for us to distribute the demo online, so that all i's are dotted and t's crossed.

How long will it take? Uncertain, which is why a fixed timeline isn't viable at the moment.

Man,

I really hated FIFA 2003. I thought that 2004 was such a leap from 2003, because the players couldn't do a 180 degree turn and shoot the ball to the top corner from outside of the box at .342335345 seconds. Or pass the ball that fast for that matter.

It had a lot of bugs, and so it did on 2005, and I'm not expecting it will change this year with 06. But, it will definetely come a long way from 2003 for sure.

Now, see the difference, we never talk about PES in those terms. It was good and is good, with maybe little problems here and there.

Overall though, with all you can do with FIFA 06, it justifies my purchasing habits enough that I play FIFA from September till February and then get my WE9i and play that later.

But I see myself always going back and forth between the games, because I love FIFA's atmosphere and I love WE/PES gameplay.

Don't know if this is the case with Australia, but it all depends on whrere you live. Amerikkkas economy is pretty bad if you compare with some other country. The game is like $85-90 in Sweden.

Cool, I checked it out. The video look extremely promising, plus there's finally a new producer. The new producer is the most important thing. There seems to be plenty of customization and better player movement. Pretty much better gameplay overall, which is excellent. Goals may actually be exciting for the first time in years. The only thing I don't like is the player models. They look really washed out. Now if we could only get that damn demo!!!
