huge mistake by Pekerman (another one :boohoo: ) . why the **** he took Ayala, Riquelme and Tevez out?? they were by far the best players for Argentina.

on the other hand, Sven's substitutions were all right. the starting lineup was a bit defensive, but with Cole and Crouch in the field, England looked great :jap:.

Pekerman should coach little leagues, my god....Tevez had a great game as well as Riquelme (although I don't like his style of play), and they were both subbed out. They put Luis Gonzales (which for me sucks) and left Aimar in the bench, I really don't understand...

Not Luis Gonzales, but yes Lucho Gonzalez. He plays in FC Porto here in Portugal. IMO, he is a great player. He did some 6/7 passes in the whole game and 3 of them were great through passes. His passing skills are nice...but I can't see why he took out Riquelme and put him. Aimar was a much more wise choice.

it's a friendly...... chill

I know its a friendly, but it is a friendly a couple of months before the WC. This type of play in the WC won't get us anywhere...:nape:

I like Lucho he has good passing, positioning and he's a perfect tactical player, but he's way overrated atm.

at least with Bielsa, you would know what to expect... Pekerman is unpredictable :nape:

what does he have against Aimar?

He might be good for a club team, but he is not NT quality.

I don't know, sometimes I think that Pekerman pulls names out of a hat to make substitutions...

What Pekerman does makes no sense at all, Come back BIELSA!!!

At least it's getting a bit better. I mean from 4 substitutions he failed in 2, that makes it a 50% effective in the subs now.
Gotta remark the good match of Maxi Rodríguez, previously he didn't too much for the national team and now even playing in a different role he did sort of good, also good match of Cambiasso(also playing in an unusual role), and Demichellis played very good too.
Zanetti was the only player of Argentina didn't do crap he's getting worse in that poisition in top of that he can't defend for crap, Sorin neither but at least he attacks.

The man of the match was Robinson, it was Ayala until he left.

Pekerman keeps on trying out new players as if we had 3 years left until the WC instead of keeping a fixed squad... :nape: Es un pelotudo Pekerman, que queres que te diga

Brilliant, now the English tabloid press will be whipped up into such an unbelievable frenzy so by the WC they expect to win it, now it will be even funnier when they fail! :D

Indeed mate.:rockman:

Well you see that friendly we won over Germany in Germany before WC 2002, and you saw how different the things were for both teams later. So it won't mean too much later, but it's no fun losing with these guys, this way.

We'll have to decide this in the world cup. Once again.:)

We played a great game.

It was a great match, but we lost it when pekerman take out Ayala. He is the best in aerial game, he heads everything...

Ayala, Riquelme, Demichelis, and Maxi were the high points.

Instead of going for the 3rd goal pekerman decided to try something in the last minutes...

We controlled all of Englands long passes the entire match, but when ayala came out, we lost...

I hope pekerman learned from this...

We improved a lot since the last 3 games...

I hope he does learn, because in the WC, and being single elimination games, these tactics won't work...Although we played a great game, what good does it do if in the last 5 min our team loses total control?? BTW, how much money does Argentina get from this friendly? Maybe they should use the money to pay for a psychologist for Pekerman...
